Remember the mods have the sensibilities of the American films rating agency, so choose your words carefully.

How mature; violent, graphic, expressions of pain, blood/ gore, erotic depictions do you want/ not want in ME3?

Discuss.

Actually that's a nice question. I remember gore and dismemberment promises for ME3, and unless that's something trivial that gets implemented in the last months, we've seen nothing of sorts just yet.

Opinion on mods: they're fine.

Since when did ME series turned into gore and horror?
All i want is, same sex scenes like in first one and Liara's side bob.

might as well go for it. as far as gore and horror - i think we might just see plenty of that. Its all or nowt as we face extinction so people are going to die. Its not going to be pleasant. Yeh shep is probably going to be getting laid. Some pretty adult material gonna be thrown at us.

Who's expecting teddy bears and candy floss?

Not much really. For gore, it's OK to punctuate particular moments but I don't really want anything more than Saren blowing his brains out in ME1. Too much gets on my nerves.

Eroticism is fine where appropriate, but that doesn't have to translate into lots of nudity.

Mature, graphic, and lots of sex, with only moderate violence. However, with the American ratings system, that means we will get graphic intense violence and sex with their clothes on. Damn, repressed Republicans (I mean the politicians and Fox news anchors).

Wouldn't mind it being more mature.

...But Blood and Gore does not mean a game is Mature.

I suppose as we had what could be viewed as 2 suicide missions already and many people have already died in both games, on and off "camera", there's no reason to turn ME3 into a bloody gore fest.

There's a point at which lots of gore, t & a, explosions just becomes overkill and I basially switch off to it and it has the opposite effect in that I find it very childish, ironic as its deemed 'Adult'.

Uh, I don't expect it to be gruesome or graphic, no matter how bad wounds caused by mass accelerated projectiles might be if they were real, since ME1 and 2 weren't like that.

I mean, I remember one scene with gore, the rachni punching Tartarkovsky through the guts in ME1...but that's it really. Even the blood spurts from mercs in armor when you snipe them in the head or something are unrealistic, so theoretically ME should be even less graphic.

Likewise, I hope the erotic scenes are sensible. If it's a relationship where sex isn't important, like, IMO Tali and Shepard, there doesn't need to be any. Show her face in the final romance scene instead or something.

But say it's a new ME3 character or it's a character from the previous games that you still haven't slept with? They should really get it on.

Shocking? If that means things that you'd expect to see in a war of this scale, then I hope it is very shocking. Mass casualties, moments of true despair, whatever. They're facing complete annihilation, it shouldn't be pretty.

Want to see realism: violence (like most games, but not extravagant like for example God of War); erotic depictions should be the same as previous ME's; some horrific elements (husks, reaper abduction and genetic modifications on abducted people).

Not very, because when Bioware tries to do that it comes off comically bad. Stick to "Disney dark" it's what they do best.

Very very true. KOTOR 2 for example is one of the most mature games ever, yet it's rated T for Teen.

Limit the high-end gruesomeness to a few key scenes, otherwise it loses its "shock" effect.

I.e. Kelly in the pot

The problem with gore is this. If you have heads exploding every five seconds, no one cares. The way ME has handled gore has worked so far. Specific moments of intense violence [ie; the colonist being liquified], have more impact when you're not just throwing them all over the place.

Same with sex.

Edit: beaten to it!

Hmmm... erotism. If they actually decide to add serious erotism, I will be the happiest man in the world.

Haha indeed. But the point still stands.

ME does not shine from being a gory orgie of violence.. it shines from the tale it tells.

Keep the horrid gore in areas where it best supplements the story, and this will make the game optimal.

Kelly getting cremated is only a glimpse of what we should may see in ME3.

However, anything shocking (be it hard-boiled in-your-face pornographic sex cutscenes or blood-spurting dismemberment cutscenes) for the sake of being shocking is quite stupid. I don't see Shepard going out of his way to cut someone's head off, even though I play renegade.

The game needs to be pretty gory given the nature of the weapons in use. Body's and heads should be exploding when shot at point blank with a massive claymore. There is, however, a difference between presenting gore as a matter-of-fact and celebrating violence like, say, a Warhammer game.

Sex is a more difficult act to portray and even most films can't manage to integrate it successfully into a story. With intimacy, I think building tension over time between characters is paramount to being able to pull off a successful love scene in a Sci Fi setting. ME1 pulled that off pretty well while ME2 didn't bother at all. Ironically though, ME2 probably would have benefited more from an R-rated gratuitous romp as the characters weren't really forming emotional connections with each other but were facing pretty assured annihilation.

Violence: like ME2
Sex: like ME1
Horror: anything involving the Reaper's genetic modifications/ other...activites
Language: stronger than ME1, less often than ME2 (preferably reserved for precision action/ horror moments)
Alcohol/ Drugs: I don't see the latter needed playing a big role; the former, however, is guaranteed for my Sheps
Gore: husks, husks and exploding husks (thats it)

Leave the DA 2 style exploding bodies at the curb please.
