How graphic/ gruesome/ erotic or shocking do you want ME3 to be?

I love how people are complaining about the Americans when I've seen it said ON THIS SITE that games get banned in Australia for having this stuff in excess.
The ratings board in Australia are really hit or miss at times. They made the developer remove persistent bodies and zombie cops from L4D2, but were fine with AvP having human skulls being ripped out spine and all. THis was over a year ago by the way, and since then I think they've loosened up a bit. Duke Nukem Forever was released completely unedited here, Witcher 2 had a minor scene involving sex as a reward removed (easily modded back) but retained all it's full nudity sex scenes.

Australia's media stays out of the whole video game debate, we have no FOX news and hardly many big 'parents against violent video gaming' groups. Its just a bunch of silly government people.

I don't think anyone here takes FOX news seriously. Here in America, I mean. Or at least anyone who would be playing ME.

Or not. Jeez, some people are blood-thirsty nihilists on BSN. This is Star Wars-like space opera, not Friday the 13th.
Uh, did you not see Star Wars #3 Revenge of the Sith?
That wasn't gruesome. ME2, where thousands of colonists are torn apart and used to construct a new Reaper and you actually get to watch one get torn apart is more gruesome.

For as far as nudity and sex is concerned - do it right, or don't do it at all.
I've been connected to the web via broadband since I was fifteen (approaching thirty now); there's nothing BioWare can think of that I haven't already seen. That's not to say that I want to see Shepard toss someone's salad, but nudity and sex a la The Witcher II shouldn't be too much to ask for. American faux prudishness be damned.

Don't be stupid, even bad PR is PR, and bad news coming from a news channel that is famous for its up-tightness and conservativeness will definitely boost sales.

Anyways, whats up with Fox News? When ME1 shown "nudity" they were about to start a crusade against Bioware, but now Witcher 2 is more graphic then ME ever will be, and they are silent as the grave. Also, yay for european developers, who got the balls to make a game like they want it to be.

When Fox makes a report on detailed ME3 xenophilia the ME3 target audience will already know about ME3 and what makes it good and has probably already bought it. However millions that haven't even heard about the game will now also know about it. Most won't care, some will dislike but will probably not do anything about it, and some will like it and perhaps even buy it.Bring_the_rain wrote...

I think "The Witcher 2" is a perfect example of how mature games should be done. Come on, mature games are for grown ups. So don't make it like it's still for 12yo children (even if they buy it, it's their fault)

The Witcher 2 (had) the luxury of being a PC game with limited mainstream exposure. Mass Effect has always been a AAA title that can't avoid the sort of scutiny TW2 managed to skirt. It's unfortunate that it works this way but it's a fact EA and Bioware can't avoid.

- Language; Like ME 2, "normal" use of language as fits the characters (jack curse a lot, Miranda when she's angry etc), ie they curse when under presurre for instance.
- Sex; first and foremost it should fit with the game! I have NO problem with full frontal as in the Witcher 2, but that is not what Mass Effect is. It should not be fully clothed dry humping as ME 2, but more teasing and tastefull as ME 1. For instance, see them undress, caress, kiss etc, but not the action. Stuff like butts and sideboobs/front fromt belly and up should definetly be there!

I think The Witcher 2 is (and was) an AAA title. They didn't spend as much money into marketing, but it was hyped up just as much... Maybe because TW2 is from the other side of the Atlantic. The USA is a weird country...
