How does incredibly stupid like this get started and why do people keep repeating it.

And in response to the inevitable "it's just a joke" defense, why would you consider calling someone no less than a lower form of life funny?

Isn't it from South Park?

Edit: and it is.. Link.

THe irony is that some people don't get that thats what South Park does.  They make fun of everyone.  Look at that kid Coppercap on youtube he takes it soooooo personally that south park joked about redheads that he kinda made it keep going.
In the end when a ginger girl goes out and makes a video like this...
it kind of makes it hard to feel sorry for anyone who takes it seriously.

I know South Park cracks on lots of different people. But where was the context for that on this forum? Or is it simply assumed at this point that everybody knows every South Park reference?

And frankly, the world would be a better place if people didn't feel the urgent need to bag on each other all the time, no matter how clever they think it is.

Grow a sense of humor... honestly you didn't even look at the video I linked did you?  A redheaded girl told them to man up because she gets its a damn joke.  Seriously if I couldn't laugh at myself (knowing how sad my life is sometimes) I would have killed myself by now.

Because it's funny?  Like how some people find Seth Green funny?

You know, how it's not funny at all, and people still laugh at it.

My god, that has to be the least of the worlds problems.

Can you say that you have laughed at everything everyone else has ever found funny?

If so then I apologize.
If not then I'm not wrong.  You're just on the other side of the jokes.

Here's the artwork of the new FemShep by Patryk-garrett. Though so everyone knows, there were several oddities about it that one of our own, quaigee fixed up. Mainly the derp eyes and mouth and nose. But then I edited the nose myself cause quaigee's and the original looked broken, not sure if my nose is any better but. I'd post the original, but this honestly looks better.

The more visually astute around these parts are very focused on the face in this image. Me? I rarely even take note of it because I'm too busy appreciating the awesomeness that is the badass pose of the body. And on top of all that, it even manages to make the omni-blade look like it belongs in the picture. That alone should garner an award. All kinds of WIN here!

I think it's actually a small but inate part of what is the world's biggest problem: our inability to appreciate and respect the humanity of others. The only relationships we really seem to understand are me vs you and us vs them. What we consider us and them changes but the adversarial relationship never seems to.

My sense of humor is just fine, thank you very much. And finding the inevitable member of the group who's decided she's OK with it and using her as a shield from all criticism doesn't work.

PS: I'm not a redhead.

I'm also not a woman. And I've been trying to do my part to get the thread back on track. If no one cared, no one would've responded to my initial post.

Is this pic official artwork that will be used on the Marketing materials? Love the detail in the eyes and the windswept hair.

I don't think that answering the question honestly is being off topic.

And i prefer to not be called "dude". I wouldn't call you "chick". Sir or Mister will do fine.

Dude you're kidding right? It's the BSN not a workplace.

No; i find the word a mite disrespectful. But it's not a big deal.

The idea that blonde haired women are stupid, more preoccupied with their nails than a reaper invasion, or just generally incapable, is a misogynstic one.

misogynistic doesn't = blonde to redhead

misogynistic does = having to make a perfectly fine woman remake her looks to appear prettier and more youthful before she is allowed to be presented in marketing unlike her male counter part who looks his age and isn't over sexualized

A comment doesn't need to denigrate the entirety of womanhood to be misogynistic. Harbouring a certain view of blonde women because they are blonde certainly qualifies, when that stereotype isn't applied to men of the same hair colour.

Though your second example is certainly fairly misogynistic as well.

Well, she was redhead in the first and second, so why not redhead in the third as well? Makes sense.

Do you really believe that blonde jokes are the reason people voted for the redhead?

There are all kinds of corny, stupid jokes about people of various ethnicities and appearance. Do you honestly believe anyone on this forum is under the ridiculous notion that hair color has anything in the slightest to do with intelligence?

People voted for this hair color simply because this is the version of FemShep they most want to see in the marketing materials and trailer. Clearly, we will all still be able to choose blonde hair when playing the game.
