I can't help but feel that this is the Shepard we would have gotten anyway had there been no poll. Default Femshep is just meant to be a redhead.

In the original Twitter vote, femShep was to be a redhead w/ green eyes.

I was unaware of this Twitter poll. I was simply going off of the fact that DeFemShep has always been a redhead.

I say Allison Scagliotti would be a good femshep since Bioware is trying the basically remake the original femshep just younger and with longer hair.

If you look at the old ME trailers from 2006 manshep was a CC face that looked kinda like Mark Vanderloo but got a MUCH better after getting the offical ok to use his face.

I voted for black hair but this was my second choice. I'm just so glad blond didn't win. Don't get me wrong one of my Femsheps is blonde, but she didn't look like a model, more like a pretty marine. I like red hair shep, I just wish the red was a little sandier and natural looking.
No hate though- I will sport my red haired shep proudly on my wall when my collector's edition comes in the mail.

Did they do that for ME2?

I seriously hope that this decision will be changed... The most important reason I cared so much about this "femShep getting attention" was because I HATE the character creator in this game. Every face made with it looks plastic and unrealistic to me. So I was expecting something highly detailed, with really good texture etc. for default miss Shepard. So now I'm wondering why they are not going to use model for her. I mean, they are putting more care in NPCs than in main character? I'm going to look at Shepard all the time, I want her to look equally good, as, let say, Jack or Miranda. She doesn't have to be beauty queen, but I want her to look realistic. Ehhh... and now I'm afraid I expect too much :/

I forgot how bad the CC face for Maleshep looked. I also didn't realize that Ashley used to have Kasumi's voice.
