Matriarch Aethyta, I'm confident that we'll see more of her in ME3 because of the new info that came up during LotSB. She was the most interesting side character in my opinion. I liked her back story and attitude.

Zaal'Koris vas Qwib Qwib: looks like an antagonist out to devour Tali's soul when you first meet him, and then after talking to him you realize he's fighting at all costs to prevent the rest of the Quarians from getting into a war with the Geth. We might see more of him in the next game, but I'd like to see his conflict with the rest of the Admiralty manifest later on.

The Shadow Broker, or more accurately, the Yahg in general: very unique-looking race that, unlike the rest of the galaxy, isn't technologically advanced enough for spaceflight but is still adaptable. We only see one for a few minutes, and even then, that's only if you have the DLC. Looking forawrd to seeing more of them in 3.

im sick of running into people ive already met. its almost like the MEuniverse is smaller then the tiny little town i live in. im running into people ive met previously all the time. hello, fist. hello parasini, shiala, and the fade. oh hi there helena blake, and conrad vernor.

i can get behind finding garrus, wrex and tali, but running into every NPC i met in ME1 is a little too convenient.

even getting emails is a tad silly.

I agree that it is very improbable to run into people so often in an enormous galaxy, but let's not start another realism v. gameplay debate...

I still think Bioware missed out on a huge opportunity to have a news report mentioning:

The colony of New Canton was attacked today, by a mysterious race known only as Collectors. The Collectors were stopped dead in their tracks by the arrival of a single quarian. This Quarian fought off the entire Collector invasion single handed, and has since been declared 'The Hero of New Canton', and had a statue erected in the town square in his honour.

YES! She's gotta make another appearance in ME3. Her cameo was one of the few bright spots in ME2 for me, although I hear she isn't as friendly if you let the colonists on Feros die.
