I am really falling in love with japanese Koto music. It sounds almost alien to most modern standards, with seemingly incoherent flow and unclear, garbled notes particularily at the start of the melody, but it really comes together in the end as one fluent symphonie.
And it has the strange property that it goes well to almost everything. I mean, past posting this, I am reading the "The Crown of Thorns" Dragon Age Origins fanfic right now whilst listing to a list of Koto music in a playlist and it just fits as it it were composed for it.

The Cowboy Junkies' version of "Sweet Jane", as many people don't know, is based on the alternative, depressing and more realistic version played by the Velvet Underground. Lou Reed called it his favorite cover of that song. Cat Power's version of "I found a reason" is a revison of the VU original with more emphasis on the impossibility of possession. The cartoon is just cute. I don't know what it's about.
Ok depressing. The happy funkier version of Sweet Jane by the late man himself.
