You know Otis Redding wrote this song. On a live album (Live at Monteray Blues Festival?) he introduces the song by saying how he really liked Aretha's version. "That girl stole it from me. She just stole it from me", but he sounds happy about it.

it's been so long since I listened to this guy and the songs were old then. This is my favorite I think from the Live at Monterray ? album although this is a slightly different version.
Yeah in the live version he just goes nuts at the end of the song. "GOOD GAWD ALMIGHTY I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU! ".
