I was about to post Panama instead of Hot For Teacher but hmmm Both great choices.
To be honest I'm not a big fan of Metallica as I used to be. Their old stuff is amazing no question about it. But their newer stuff especially Saint Anger was so god awful and their attitude about everything just ruins it for me.
For Whom The Bell Tolls is probably my favorite though if not pretty close

I actually really enjoyed Death Magnetic, even if it did arrive 20 years too late - it would've sounded amazing in their prime, but it'll do.

On a totally different note, this is a band I got into recently who sound like they sprung right up out of the 1980s:
Hot Mess - Chromeo
Would fit in a Vice City radio station perfectly.

Hmm... no offense intended.. while some of his songs are awesome.. for the most part Judas Priest sounds like some dude who wished his voice was as good as Dio's.
