ME1-2's eye shapes for Shepard are all really awkward, apart from one which is still really small. You need to make more to avoid us fans moaning about our Sheps being ugly!
Ashley "Oh, Skipper, you have beautiful eyes!"
Shep "Actually I just got plastic surgery because I hated my first eyes."

And I just had an idea! What about at any point in the game, you could get plastic surgery to change your appearance (nothing else).

I wouldn't mind some more Noses especially male ones cause i can never get a good looking nose in ME1 or 2 so i had to go with Sheploo

I'm hoping the character creator will be much more refined in ME3,
or at least have decent preset faceshapes, eyes, nose etc to start from.

Pretty much all the starting presets were awful, for example eyes
only had 1 or 2 decent presets, the largest eye preset was a
little crosseyed, only 1 or 2 of the nose presets looked normal
and same for the mouth.

It was so much easier to create something hideous than it was
to create a normal or attractive character, though I'm not saying
it wasn't possible, trouble is, most of our decent looking sheps
ended up looking very similar due to the fact they all used the
same couple of presets.

As I mentioned in another thread, the slider system was off also,,
eyes started off too high, so the choice was slide fully one side
for normal, slide the other way for eyes on forehead.

I'd like more drastic control via the sliders, so if the ME1-2 sliders
represented -5 to +5 then in ME3 have -10 to +10, yes that would
give us the ability to make freakishly hideous characters, but also
much more control over perfecting our custom Shep.

Those eyes are ridiculous.

Your choices are:

A.) wide eyed bat **** crazy
B.) Sleepy pot head
C.) Slanty eyed asian caricature
D.) The 1 decent pair of eyes that all my Shepards have.

Another thing I hate about ME character creator is how each part (mouth, jaw, nose, etc.) is dependent on the facial structure. It would be nice to simply have all the noses, jaw widths, etc. be available instead of being limited to a certain type of nose if you have a certain forehead. There are noses that I want, but required chosing an overall facial structure that I hate.

And last, but not least, you should be able to change the size of the eyes and nose. No matter how long the chin height is or how wide the jaw, the nose and eyes remain the same size. It took a week of trail and error to finally get a face that was properly proportioned and looks nice from all angles. Oh, yeah, a the real last bit... let players see the face in the in-game engine. How hard is this? It completely defeats the purpose if the face you create doesn't look like the in-game face.

I approve, there are only a couple decent eyes... Yet one looks like a dopey idiot, and the other makes him look like angry Shepard... Then the rest are just weirdly shaped. :/

Too bad Bioware didn't add a "barber" feature to the med bay Dermal Regeneration upgrade. It might have made it a worthwhile investment of platinum.

Good point, forgot about that, I persuaded a mate of mine to buy ME2 on PS3 yesterday,
whilst creating his character in the creator all looked ok, all of a sudden in-game Shepard
had cheek bones you could cut your finger on.

Would be good to have a true representation of how your character will look in-game.

I fully support more nose/eye/whatever options. I don't support mid-game plastic surgery. It's just out of place. Oh, right, we're in the middle of an invasion, I've got to choose between saving the quarians and the asari- wait, one sec lemme pop into the medical bay for some plastic surgery.

I understand the complaint regarding the character creator face not always accurately demonstrating how the face will look in-game but this could be fixed by allowing us to fully rotate, zoom-in/zoom-out, etc, during character creation.

Aside from more customization options, maybe the best option (if not doing a 'black emporium') is just after the 'prologue/tutorial part' you get a(nother) confirmation screen wich allows you to review your character and make changes to appearance. Like in Oblivion.

I liked being able to choose your own scarring in ME 1 as well. A pity that went away.

I'd add to it, no extraneous crap like lines or light being cast over the face over and over like it happens in ME2. Makes me wonder if the people who made the game ever drove a car during the day time and had to deal with flared light from the sun blocking their vision. It's apparent that they haven't or that they can see perfectly in any condition because they thought it was a good to put in the game.

The mere mention of it would be jarring. Thankfully the game is basically done and it's unlikely this is in it so it's all moot.

It's also called: separation of Gameplay and Story.  Every game does this, anyone who says otherwise is lying to themselves.

Which leads me to wonder: why are these people playing anyway?  They'd be better off reading books.

I actually prefer the Renegade scars because they are mroe 'gruesome' for FemShep than her options in the first game.

But
it would be cool if you are Renegade, you can choose from different
scarring patterns, keeping them the same between both genders.
