You're on an Island, Someone owns a stream but doesn't want to sell you any water. What do you do?

Let's say instead of one stream there are two streams each owned by different people. What would be a good level of taxation?

What do you think of Aristotle's immovable mover?

That's consistent - in Aristotle's world. Besides, you just conjured an immovable implacable mover called Mr. Stanley Woo by posing such question.

However, let's postulate a more lenient substantial medium and call him Mr. Stanley Veil. Mr. Veil would allow us discuss religion in Bioware's context and setting - frame of reference - let's just call it the Chantry. Nevertheless, I'm not that good a singer and the Chantry/BW characters, setting feels kinda restrictive, limited, filled with fissures, plotholes, what have you, so I'll try not to feel caged and gagged and fly off and talk philosophy for a split second. Mr Veil wouldn't mind, I'm positive.

Aristotle has this thing called teleology.

Says Wiki:

"A teleology is any philosophical account which holds that final causes exist in nature, meaning that design and purpose analogous to that found in human actions are inherent also in the rest of nature. The word comes from the Greek τέλος, telos; root: τελε-, "end, purpose (not to be confused with τῆλε, “at a distance, far from”). The adjective "teleological" has a broader usage, for example in discussions where particular ethical theories or types of computer programs are sometimes described as teleological because they involve aiming at goals."In Aristotle's world, for everything, there ought to be an end result, "final cause," so he is consistent while reasoning that there must be a mover, too, that's not moving in and on itself.

Of course the creationists and other loons have used even those teleological arguments and buzzwords in their nonsensical propaganda, see Teleological argument and Catholic Encyclopedia, for example. The Pope is wise enough not to deny evolution unlike the fundies, though.

However, "In modern science, in particular within evolutionary biology, an explanation that relies on teleology is considered to be unconvincing, and scientists aim to develop explanations which avoid it." (Wiki)

For example, Stephen Hawking in his book The Grand Design is of the opinion that for the universe to have been able to born, no "immovable mover" is required. He argues that invoking God is not necessary to explain the origins of the universe, and that the Big Bang is a consequence of the laws of physics alone.

I can write a book, with the things I consider they're in the field of my philosophy. Ethics, Education, Media, Subjects-Ideas-Concepts, Pragmatics, Economy and Politics.
So there is no point to waste them here (share with you).

Why do people make posts like these? It seems pointless.

Befriend him and try again and he may even give it free, try to trade with other of my personal possessions, or, as a last resort, steal it or fight him for some/the whole stream. A man's got to drink; if you have to kill the owner of the stream for it you do what you must.

Alright, I like this one.
First you try to negotiate (persuade etc.) diplomatically with notifying the goodness of compassion and sharing. Then suggesting to do a work for X for water.
If X isn't reasonable, I will try to defeat X by force and enslave X! BTW I'm a kind and just master and I share the water with X if X helps me with the Island Works ... Robinson Crusoe also needs some assistance!
