2.In ME1 I´ve found all 10 prothean data discs will this effect game in ME3?
3.Will there be space battles where you can play as Normandy?

I seriously doubt it. But one way to do this, is to have preset segments, where in between shepard takes command choices on how to enter the next leg of the battle. So you dont actually fly the ship (joker does), but you get to choose how the battle progresses. And all the choices will have consequences one way or the other of course.Ryutak wrote...

Maybe even blowing the ship up as a result, or you need to reapply certain upgrades to keep your ship fight worthy (so nobody dies like in ME2 suicide mission without upgrades), or you lose friendly vessels due to your choices, etc.
It would be a nice addition to the last of the trilogy. But like i said, i doubt it would happen.

Will Shepard get stuck with only Liara, James Vega, and Ashley / Kaidan... or will there be replacements for the dead teammates to round out the squad selection? I dont know if I want the full blown negative consequences... or if I want a full team to compliment gameplay.

So what will happen if Shepard survives ME2 but all of his squadmates are dead other than Kasumi like in this video...

AKA: reveal giant spoilers.
I'd rather see for myself how this pans out.

Anyways Brenon, if you see this, I feel as though I should let you know that tomorrow is my birthday, and as such, if you guys are sitting on any new trailers, story tidbits, demos, ect, I propose that it be a great time to reveal it. You know, even some screens would be nice. Short of that though, I guess I could simply accept some free DLC. I mean, obviosuly Bioware is going to do SOMETHING to help me celebrate, right?

So... this isn't really a question regarding ME3, but with the rare opportunity to ask a famous designer questions, I'd like to know what skills are needed to work as a (gameplay) designer in the games industry, espcially when it comes to coding (which language would I have to know how well). What about stochastic and other related stuff? Any other useful tips? Thanks in advance
Hi Vyse,
Have a look at this site:
http://www.3dbuzz.co...1e9059535cb3f24
I don't know your background, but I can tell you it's "pretty" hard to get into the gamesindustry, because you have to be on a profesionall level before you apply for a job, you can gain experience by modding games.
Another thing is that they tend to look for specialists( only casual games look for all round), but you have to have knowledge about the adjacent disciplines as well.
I believe Bioware makes use of ( an adjusted version of) Unreal engine, so Kismet, unreal script and possibly C++ are the way to go, I have played with unreal engine( aswell as Unity and cryengine) and it's quite easy to learn( although I really hate the navigationcontrols in Unreal
Another thing is to make a website where you show of your work and tell a bit about yourself , I have made one myself and am working on a portfolio , if you care you could have a look:
www.eyellem.com
Good luck

Can we expect the ME3 PC version to utilize keyboard shortcuts for things like the codex, squad menu, quest log?
Oh hey that's a good question, actually. Inquiring minds want to know.

Considering how terrible the ME2 PC port was in this regard. I, and a lot of other players I would believe, would appreciate an answer on this.
I just really hope they did put them in. Them not doing it just screams laziness in regard to the PC version.

Games such as Halo and Half-life 2 have enimies that resort to melee attacks if you get too close to them will enimies perferom melee attacks if you get too close to them in ME3
I can answer this for you. Yes. Some Cerberus troops carry shock sticks that they will hit you with if they close in.

Brenon, will the events of ME3 take place over a pretty narrow period of time (a few months like ME1 and ME2), or will the galactic war in ME3 cover a period of many years?
That's very much in spoiler territory. He won't answer those because he values his job.
