Details about your problem:
1. What is the nature of the problem you are seeing?
As the title says - my rogue randomly keels over after being thrown back
after I backstab or use twin daggers skills. I don't know what this is,
but it's driving me crazy. I am playing on nightmare mode.
I thought, perhaps, one of my team-mates were doing damage to me
accidentally, but it's just me that's getting one-shotted like this.
I'll be fighting and everything will be fine, then BOOM - there's
something that hits me out of nowhere. I get knocked back or staggered
and I die.
When it occurs, there is a strange, black, fog that surrounds me (it resembles an npc popping out of stealth). It isn't an npc hitting me, however, as I have paid extra close attention to see if it was.
I have Googled this issue for a while. I have done research on it, but nothing mentions anything like it and no one has posted anything regarding something like this. So, I am turning to this forum in the hopes that someone has experienced something of this nature. I don't mind just saying "screw it" and playing anyway, but it's extremely frustrating when I am in a boss fight and I randomly die after spending time to fight him.
2. When did the problem start occurring?
This problem started occuring when I went to nightmare mode. I have never had a problem like this until I switched modes. Yes, I have tried switching the modes around to see if it was only happening on NM mode, but now the same problem happens on other modes as well (not as often though).
3. Where does your problem occur?
Throughout the game as far as I can tell. It especially occurs when are A LOT of enemies surrounding me and I toss a grenade or use a stunning skill (no, I do not hit myself with my own bombs). It also seems to occur when I crit or do a particularly large amount of damage to a single enemy.
4. What are the steps in replicating the problem?
As far as I can tell, this only happens on my rogue. It's almost like there's recoil to my hits all of a sudden, and it's especially bad if I crit. So far, it appears to happen randomly and doesn't happen every crit, so I can't really say that my crits are causing it. I have removed mages from my party; I don't use any AoE moves to avoid hitting my own characters (unless I use a bomb and such, which I toss AWAY from myself) - thus, it is not caused by friendly fire.
5. Have you modified your game in any way?
Yes, and I have considered the possibility that this may have done something to it. However, I have tried to remove the mods and this still happens. It was just an armor mod and custom weapon mods.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. I have had friends with bad experiences with EA support and DA2 support, so I didn't want to involve them unless I couldn't resolve this issue on my own.
Thanks
