Where did they say that specifically?  They only retraction I've ever seen was that "The Prothean" text was the mistake. Priestly never said there was no character. And the fact is, they're still promising one in that image, which is part of their current advertising materials.  If that's just flat out not true, they're violating the law in pretty much any country you'd care to name.  No way in hell EA legal would be letting them get away with that.

I agree with didymos, the Priestly reaction didn't confirm anything one way or another.  The only mistake he admitted was the fact that someone had put that text up on the website.

as i said they  said on these very forums that was no new  crew mate the only crewmate that gets added is the big ben sniper. that the  added crewmate. nots not dled  it saying for me  free mssion dlc.

Actually I just clicked it and it didn't say that,it just says bonus mission now...however the picture in the link still says it.

Let's look at this here. They told the publishers to put up the info on the Collectors Edition. Then when it's released and people see it, they say it was scrapped A LONG TIME AGO.

They're lying. It might not be a Prothean, but we'll have to wait and see what it is.

Please note the bolded part.  Also, no, James Sanders is NOT the Big Ben sniper.  Nor did they say he was the only new squadmember in the entire game that I've ever seen.

It still says there is a bonus character. The Prothean Adventure/Character information in the original CE announcement was admitted to be a mistake. Whether it was canceled, wasn't ready to be revealed yet, or actually put into the vanilla game remains a mystery.

umm where talkinga bout the  bonus crewmate it doesnt say that as of now  as i said again NOT this thread again where bioware has edited beyond  what they can do they havent changed graphic. again LOOK under the picture to see what they are including the picture is error. sheesh

We could technically sue, because some of us put money down on the Collector's Edition while they still had it advertised as containing a bonus squadmate and mission.

However, I'll let Bioware off the hook on this one as long as they don't make another DA2 quality game.

"These items are in the CE box as exclusive bonuses" Which again supports the idea that the Mission will be a day one DLC for those that do not get the CE version of the game.

right, wouldnt be fair if  the ce owners get a new member  if the normal people cant get like the shale thing everyone got. but the new players that  just got the game also like the cerebus network ,i didnt get in my copy of m2 i had to buy it.

I think we are all seeing different things because the website content is being overhauled right now.  Ravenmyste really needs to format and edit before he posts though; unless English is his second language, then there's nothing he can do and I understand.

James Vegas is the only new crew member they've announced, they've never said there won't be any new crew members. Also,Vega is not the Big Ben sniper!

Correct. But also the mission and new character is not mentioned in the text on the second page at all even though we know it's in there from the picture and the link on the main page. So we know it's still included in the CE version. We just know it's not exclusive to the CE.

That is actually a good sign for such content.  I lived through the days where the only way to get certain things such as whole characters was through pre-order or special edition versions of games and in those days they usually really were on the discs sent out unlike today.
