The fade portion in DA:O (Broken Circle) was disastrous imo.
DA:A nailed it though (Blackmarsh).
The fade portion in DA2 was decent, but it was a little on the short side, and it (like the rest of DA2) fell prey to level recycling.

as long as the fade in DA3 has a Big Juicy Pink Monkeybottom Flapping In The Wind i'll be happy

I would like to see more of the Fade, for sure. I don't know if I would like an entire DLC devoted to it, though. I can only stand that filter for so long.

I'm going to say No, they've yet to get it right they've just made it brief, best we'll likely get out of bioware at this point

The only thing DA2 did better than DA:O was the fade. Make it short, sweet and to the point. Don't want to spend much gameplay time in it.

The fade in DA:O was one of my favorite parts of the game. Even after half a dozen playthroughs, I still happily anticipate my trip through the fade. The part of DA:O I always dread on a new playthrough is the Deep Roads, which to me are so long and tedious.
I loved DA2, but I missed a more lengthy excursion into the Fade. Any future content involving the Fade would be awesome - especially after certain "Legacy" revelations.

To be completely honest, OP...
I feel the Fade has been underutilized every appearance it has made in the series. This is my opinion. But the idea where thoughts and concepts are real, all sleeping people visit... this is a cool place. And I don't think we've had "the" Fade mission yet.
So if they could think of a way to pull it off and do something just great with it... Yes. Yes I'd be fine with a Fade DLC.

I agree that Awakenings was about the right length, although I don't necessarily like it being an exact replica of the real world.
Also the Deep Roads in Awakenings was about the right length and designed very well, its a pity that didn't carry through to DA2.

Yeah, I think the Fade has a huge potential for amazing surrealism, but so far all it has really been is a place of peculiar place-ables and fuzzy field of view though. Could use better music, better environments (both art-wise and gameplay-wise), perhaps more cinematic emphasis too.

Indeed. I loved the Deep Roads portion in Awakening, the entire art style and layout was excellent.

Although the Fade level wasn't very interesting in DAO, I'd really like to have a lengthy quest there again, either in DLC or as part of DA3. The lore is so interesting, and I'd love to see more of different demons and spirits, and see them conjure up illusions more suited to the player character and party members (like with the companions in DAO and 2), but with the environment changing a little to make the trick more convincing.
And I'd love to know more about the Black City, and the other blobs in the Fade's 'sky'. Unless all those blobs together comprise the City, I don't know.

I liked seeing the dreams of my companions but I **really** didn't like running about on my own. I got confused and lost a lot
and it was a bit repetitive.
I didn't mind the fade in DA:A but was slightly disappointed I couldn't see my companions dreams during that!
In The Calling, it seemed like it always occured when trapped in the fade - so more dreams please!
Wouldn't want it in DLC, but in DA3, sure thingggg.

I liked the Fade every time we visited it. In the Mage Origins, it established the mystical side of the mage class very well. In Broken Circle, it was fun getting a new set of tactical considerations with the shapeshifting. In Awakening, it was a really neat story. The DA2 fade was actually much more interesting than the parts of the game set in Thedas because I actually felt the choice made at the end was both important and difficult. I also never recognized that they had recycled Templar Hall.

The fade in Origins was like the Deep Roads, great the first time, but the second? Meh... I still scoff and people not wanting more of the fade though. Or do they think the fade is a dream world for dungeon crawlers? Look at the fade in Awakening! More of that please!
I want the fade to be an eerie and interesting place, full of great lore and dialouge with trick puzzles and the likes! I do not want it to be a mob fested dungeon crawl however. Still the fade is always the fade, the way it's used is up to Bioware.

I would love more of the fade, purely from a roleplaying angle. I love the companions dreams, seeing their fears and hopes and everything. My friend and I were just discussing how awesome fade scenes could be with the DA2 gang, especially if maybe the LI's changed just slightly from their non-LI version. Say, Anders' nightmare involving Justice hurting Hawke somehow or something. Something like in The Calling. I get that it would be more expensive, but I'd bet that most people are willing to pay extra for more companion/LI interaction. Seems to be the number 1 request in just about everything.
That said, hopefully if it does appear again it won't be as confusing as it was in Origins, I think that's my biggest issue with it. I'm incredibly directionally challenged, so the fade is bascially a 10 hour motion-sick event for me. I ended up drawing maps showing all the paths/doors, then making copies so I could mark off where I'd been when I played. So, no more of the back tracking confusing stuff. Awakening/The Calling/DA2 (but longer/more involved) fade would be great.

NOOOOOO. Sorry for the childish response there, but honestly, I HATE the Fade. I hate all levels that require Hawke or the Warden to enter the Fade. I HATE it, HATE it, HATE it! At least in DA2 it was incredibly short.
With so many other lush and amazing countries to visit ... why go back to the Fade?!
