Brilliant! What was Hackett doing aboard a Cerberus vessel anyway? Again this underlines that Cerberus is nothing more than a black ops paramilitary/unethical science research division of the Systems Alliance. TIM's money comes out of the SA's discretionary fund -- it's off books. And why did Hackett meet Shepard in the Sick Bay? Because in the conference room the conversations are probably recorded. In Sick Bay they are not. Oh that's right EDI is right there. But she only records when the plot calls for it.

I think in those five waves I killed as many operatives than I did Collectors on the Collector vessel. (Hardened Adrenaline + Area Reave for the win). Then trying to get out. Yeesh, there was an army there. It was a set up to get Shepard out of the way. I don't trust Hackett. I think he did this for TIM. In any event at the "kangaroo court" Shepard's omni-tool data would have been altered to show Shepard being totally at fault, and clear Hackett of any involvment. Shepard won't have an omnitool at the trial.

What moment in either Mass Effect 1 or 2 made you go WTF?

Miranda:  "Shepard, all twelve teammates are coming in the Kodiak for the FIRST TIME EVER for the next mission even though the only thing left to do is take the Normandy through the Omega 4 relay."
Shepard:  "Corking idea, old girl."
Player:  "Could this be any clunkier?"

gotta be the kinda lame way one of your party develops invincibility mode when on the collector base - just as the door is shutting and (insert party member here) gets shot and just shrugs it off....even tho you may have lost a few party members already to lesser wounds. Like nowt happened.

WTF????

I am pissed at the VS but that isn't the same as hating them, besides put yourself in their shoes.  Cerberus has reputation for being a xenophonic terrorist organization that frequently uses unethical means to achieve their ends.  In ME 1  they murdered an alliance admiral for investigating them etc... then all of a sudden your commander whom you looked up and trusted shows up one day working for them?  That would feel like a punch in the gut to anyone.

This is precisely the reason why I hate VS so much. After playing Horizon, I was only mildly pissed. After coming to the forums and listening to all the VS apologists, I now hate VS with abandon.

That was perfect. This is exactly the way that conversation should've happened. That, and I wanted to scream the moment I saw Hackett: "Who let him on board?!"

And yes, that thought crossed my mind. "But Admiral, you're the only one who knows that I pressed that button..."

Besides, who cares about a war with the Batarians? You should be preparing to the war with the Reapers! The Reapers are coming. The Reapers are coming! *crying out in the wilderness in the true Shepardism fashion*

Or are you saying that you STILL don't believe me?

the only moment in mass effect I can think of that makes no sense to me is when you're on board the collector ship and your squad mates are all like "they're going to target Earth". that doesn't fit the collector's profile at all and even though there ship is powerful it could still be taken out quite easily if of the ship after Earth makes no sense in the narrative.

Actually yeah it does. They needed millions of humans for the baby reaper baby reaper needs humies and humies on Earth duh.;)

All of Arrival is a big pile of contrived nonsense.

Dont send in an army... - Three people is an army ADMIRAL, Seriously ?
Proof of Reapers... - Thanks dude, you want me to clean up a Reaper mess so you can deny it later ?

--- Get on shuttle and fly away ---

Off to Project Base... - This shuttle automatically knows how to fly there and can do so with no pilot, huh ?
I was captured... - Yeah, lets take you to the Normandy for a medical checkup, or not ?
We found a Reaper artifact... - Uhh, I think a trip to the Normandy is in order to check for indoctrination ?
We plan to destroy a relay... - Seriously, turn this thing back to the Normandy... Sigh, why bother
We arent indoctrinated, trust me... - How about I just send a message to the Normandy, aww f**k it !

--- At Project Base ---

Look at all these mysteriously closed doors and railroaded path the NPC is taking through armies of people that arent doing anything while she talks endlessly.

Kenson: HAH ! I am a turncoat, didnt see that one coming did you. I brought you here to the Project so you cant stop the Project
Shepard: Curse you evil villain, I will smack you up and shoot at you with terrible accuracy as you slouch away.

--- One Day Later ---

Joker: The Commander has been gone for a day without communication, should we be worried ?
EDI: Shush, we arent mentioned in the script
Joker: Isnt that kind of stupid for a military ship to lose its commander for days without notice
EDI: Joker, STFU and just accept the lazy writing
Joker: Thats so sad even I cant make a joke out of it

--- Two Days Later ---
Dr ******: Mmm, Shepard keeps adapting to sedatives, I wonder if we should do a check... ah nevermind
Guard: Shepard is adapting to sedatives, should we restrain him or stay outside the forcefield, nah

-Moments later -
Shepard: Pekaboo, *woosh, smack poof* Now to use this convinient mech terminal to get me out
Just as well they kept my weapons and gear just outside and only a minimum or guards. Must be low population in this base...

-Ten miniutes later-
Shepard: Jesus Christ, I thought this was a small research expedition.
Why did I have to break Kenson out again if they have an army on hand ?

- Two Hours Later -

Hacket: What the Hell happened ?
Shepard: What the hell did you expect you *CENSORED* *CENSORED*. Sending me alone to rescue some *CENSORED* that was studying Reaper Tech without a *CENSORED* clue she was messing with.
Hacket: Well your screwed now cause the Batarians will blame us but we will shift the blame to you

Mine isn't epic or a huge moment but still made me say WTF.
When doing Samara's loyalty mission the mother starts to cry, and her eye make starts to run.  I hadn't seen this happen before and didn't realize she even had make up on - or didn't care.  For a second it looked like blood make me say WTF?!  until I realized what it was, and later with Jack it made sense.

I played ME2 before ME1 and I romanced Miranda without knowing, because I thought she was a quest giver. Kelly told me to speak to Miranda, and after doing her quest I talked to her again, skipping dialogue and looked in Journal and saw more quest, and repeated that process thinking she was a quest giver. I thought the Romance scene was mandatory. Once I played ME1 and realized that I was actually "Courting" Miranda *FACEPALM*.

My threshold for stupid BS isnt that high and definetly not in such concentrations as Arrival managed to create.

LOTSB had issues that seriously annoyed me but for the most part it managed to off-set that with a decent length and content effort. Arrival should have been so much more than what BW decided to push out rather than a pathetic money grab designed to plaster over stupidity in ME2 and shoehorn ME3 plot in.

The plot of Arrival is as follows:

Hackett: Go to the system and find out whats going on
Kenson X: Ha we are indoctrinated and the Reapers are coming !!!!!
Shepard: I will stop you no matter the cost !
Kenson: You stopped the Reapers, Argh !
Harbinger: We are coming, Prepare to die
Shepard: Your just a machine... and we will break you cause humans are like, totally awesome...
Hackett: You did the right thing but your totally gonna get burned for it. Tough luck
Shepard: Yup, the Reapers are coming and we have to be ready and sacrifice me for the greater good
Hackett: Good boy, I gotta go cause your still the enemy, bye.

Saturate the inbetween bits with lots of fighting the same enemies over and over - YAY DLC... that will be          $20 please, have a nice day.

The greatest WTF moment for me wasn't something that was there in ME2, but something that was missing. Namely calling out Cerberus on Akuze.

You can give them grief about Jack and their rachni/husk/creeper experiments and can be an absolute jerk to the Illusive Man, but bringing up the traumatic loss of your command caused by Cerberus scientists? Or mentioning the assassination of Kahoku? Those things should have been in there somewhere.

The most WTF moments in Mass Effect to me are:

1. Meeting Liara for the first time in ME2 (before LOTSB)
2. Right before the Normandy crew is taken by the Collectors. Why did Shepard's team all get in the shuttle?

What ever next location you were going to; Shepard needed to use the shuttle to get to his next location so EDI and Joker can fix the IFF.

I think the problem is, we dont realize whenever Shep goes on a mission or visits a hub, the entire crew is available in the shuttle or airlock. He only works with 2 people but the whole crew is at his disposal....
