The fact of the matter DA2 has more in common with DAO than people would like to admit; and if the game had had say another 6 months to a year of development time you can GUARANTEE that there would be a hell of a lot less moaning about how DA2 is a complete 180 from DAO. It completely is not.

What really causes DA2 to stand out from DAO is the fact that DA2 is blatantly unfinished and DAO was finished. Thats it.

I defy each and every one of you to say that you would have hated DA2 if it had had another years development to allow for it to be finished and properly QA'ed. And honestly if you insist you would, then id call you a liar.
And the people who "hate" DAO and "love" DA2? Honestly I reckon they are liars too because honestly many of the things they "hated" in DAO are present in DA2 (sometimes in a bastardised form but present nonetheless).

Haterz Gonna Hate as you Americans say.

Do people actually say that they hate da:o, or do they just point out that that game too have flaws? I am more attacthed to my Hawke than my warden that doesn't mean that I love da2 and hate da:o. I love both games, I just feel the need to point out that not everything in da:o. was perfect.

I definitely agree but there are some DA:2 fans who get off blasting Origins in order to get their point across.

I have never seen you insult people but the troll poster brand has and that is not going to get people to listen to his opinion.

I don't agree. I gave up on DA franchise. I just hope they don't ruin ME3 like DA2. Don't get me wrong DA2 is a fine game and fun in a way...but the general direction worries me much more than game's more tangible problems. The direction being, "dumb down things that our fans loved, which we suppose made it harder to attract gamer adolescent boys with rich parents who own a console. So we are gonna water it down, yes MONEH"

They have got one chance to make it right for DA3 now. I hope they don't blow it, but interviews of the devs say otherwise.

Because bioware created fantastic games like ME and DAO they were given to much expectation and DA2 wasn´t able to reach that just because it was rushed and there was some monumental failures like some facts doesn´t add upp with origins or the repeating locations etc.

Some people like me wanted the warden to return as a protaganist in DA3 and i know it´s not going to happen. Some wants hawke to return as a protaganist and it´s not going to happen either.

But one thing I know is this. people don´t like loose ends, you shouldn´t ask yourself these questions in the ending of something:

What happend next?
What happend to him/her?
What happend to that?
etc. etc.

For example: if you made the choice to follow morrigan through the eluvian or not: what happend?
Hawke disappears, why?

But i still cant belive bioware wants to resent the succes of DAO, it´s sound like they are searching for something special but they´re overdoing it.

I think that bioware could make a succes of mixing to both games into a single one, even though my expectations are low.

However in my opinion don´t think that they can make a satisfying conclusion for everyone. DA ins´t ME but when you follow one single heros story you keep track on everything that happens around you and you face the consuqensis on a personal level and i´m not talking about a single game but the entire franchise.

For example if you continue your warden story through DAO,DAA and DA2 you feel more part of it. Samething if you continue as hawke to DA3.

I Know that Protaganist will Be a new and not hawke or the warden

We all get snappy sometimes... I do think that I one time or two have come very close to be rude (or actually was). I do think it is sad that we are so divided and firmly set against each other. It makes it hard to say that we do understand the other side, but sometimes we have wonderfull and good discussion that are interesting which makes it worth it to navigate the forums.

That's not true at all.  BioWare games tend not to acknowledge your choices, but before they started voicing the PC they generally contained quite a lot of opportunities for roleplaying choices (the extent to which those choices were meaningful was determined by each player).  And until ME and DA2, they tended to allow you important character build choices, as well.

I think the best course is to pick a vision and stick with it. Trying to do too many things (and in a short amount of time) does not yield good results.

I do wonder, given the things posted about time/resources was an issue if DA2 was this vision or was there more they wanted to do? Maybe an act 4? Act 3 could have been more fleshing out of things that...needed it? (Imho) Just random thoughts.

You do realize alot of people would not be so angry with you if you just stopped attacking people who like Origins.

Its really that simple.

I did NOT hate DA:2.  On a scale of 1-10 I rate it around a 7/8 but it is NOT the perfect game you claim it to be but Origins is NOT the garbage you claim it to be either.

Just learn to not try to convert people to your beliefs.
