@Red_Sonja just consider yourself lucky that i dont file a complaint for slanderous accusations and Libel, because i take pity on you for being an emo with a chip on your shoulder with nothing better to do than trolling forums and picking fights with people i'm sure i wont be the last person you go making slanderous accusations and assumptions against for not agreeing with you on every issue or pampering your ego and clear confidence issues. but after this i'm not even going to waste my time fueling your fires of slander and libel

Oh....  don't just threaten then back away like a coward.  Allow *me* to Libel/Slander/Accuse you.

I, Yrkoon, of St. Louis Missouri, USA  (zip code 63026), categorically and unequivocally, state, in public and  in front of several witnesses, that you, jbrand2002uk, have used pirate software, and then came on  at least one message board to promote it/comment on it.  Therefore, I vocally call you the f***king thief  and troll that you are.

There you go.

Now do it.   Go  try  and shove that down  ANY Lawyer's briefs.  Come back after  he/she/they  show you the door, and we'll have another laugh.... at your expense.

I would state categorically that media piracy is wrong and should never be done its widespread nonetheless

Then why do it? Here is some advice for you: if you are going to post on Bioware Social about the evils of videogame piracy, DO NOT USE THE SAME HANDLE YOU USE ON THEPIRATEBAY. Google “jbrand2002uk piratebay” people, we appear to have a thief in our midst.

Ok, I was suitably bored to Google it and colour me convinced: Jbrand2002uk has been downloading pirated Dragon Age content. No doubt (and for shame). Good catch Red_Sonja!

For goodness sakes.

jbrand why cant you just admit that you said something inopportune and got a few folks backs up hmm?

Is it really so hard to have just said "sorry didnt mean to come off like i was attacking people who like DAO" and draw a line under it?
Do you really need to keep provoking people?

Its only going to get a legitimate thread with a legitimate discussion locked.

Quit it please.

And Yrkoon; you really shouldnt rise (or sink) to his level. Even if he meant to be a trollish idiot and it wasnt unintentional. You are doing the same thing because he is. Thats not any better.

@FitScotGaymer apologized already and now some just wont drop it and now accuse me of pirating DLC when all of mine was legally bought from Bioware the DLC screen on the main menu even says so (authorized v1.0) but i guess for some troublemakers thats just not good enough well shame on them

Well maybe if you stopped responding it wouldnt have gotten this far?

Honestly. Zero responsibility for ones own actions is what I am seeing here.

Answering the OP's questing if its global sales are 2 to 3 times the Dev costs then yes i guess it could be called a critical success.

I wouldn't be surprised if Red Sonja was jbrand's alt account just to trump up a fake conflict to get this thread locked... join date today and all. Whatever... here's an idea... let's just get back on topic.

It'll be a success if it makes BW monies.

Nuff said really.

No, that would be called a financial success.

To be  a critical success, a game has  to  get more positive reception than negative reception by the public.

Personally, I just want Bioware to specialize in something and stop trying to please everyone. That's just a recipe for mediocrity when you attempt to appeal to both the action and classic RPG crowd. Focus on one audience and do it well.

Play to their strengths or?
What are they well known for? Story and companions. Combat/encounter design ...not so much and for some not at all.

*facepalm*

If he has been using pirated software, they can track it. Though I doubt E.A would bother. The most they would do,(if he is pirating) Is ban him from playing DLC ect.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty?

@FItScotGaymer For the record I didn't hate DA2 I just didn't like it. Liked Legacy, but it's still DA2. Would l have liked DA2 if it had more time? Hard to say. Some of the things I find so egregious would likely have been the same (an illusion of choice done so poorly, the cartoony art style, the derpspawn which just ****** me off even now--don't know why I have such a visceral reaction but I do--the lack of interaction with my companions and instead being a quest **** for them, Hawke as a lackluster ineffectual character--would they really have made her/him better with time, dunno--the ME in Medieval drag UI.

Some of those things might have been better, or improved with time, so I can't say no. But others wouldn't have. And if the interviews are to be believed won't be improved in DA3 either. So, to be honest, can't say one way or another. I can tell you, I wouldn't have loved it, but I might have been pushed into the 'like" territory.

This is a reminder that fighting is not permitted in our community. We can disagree with each other without resorting to name-calling and insults. Also, discussion of software piracy is not permitted in our forums. This includes the advocacy, suggestion, encouragement, or admission of software piracy. Linking to torrents is a DEFINITE no-no.

End of line.
