out, I started to play ME1 but never finished it. Perhaps I'll try again one day. But really it was DAO that got me hooked and then went on to DA2. I plan on playing BG series and NWN.

Played Neverwinter Nights when it was released and loved it so much that I went back to play Baldur's Gate II again.

The first game I tried was MDK2.
I thought that was my first one but sometime after BG (I still remember opening that case and find 6 CD's and the smile on my face) I went thru some of my older games and discovered my first BioWare game was actually Shattered Steel.

KOTOR. One of the greatest RPG's ever made.
I just this past month played thru KotoR and am playing thru 2 now. I feel 2 is head and shoulder above the first. Not that the first is a bad game by any means.

Whilst I adore KotOR it is probably worth noting that I'm one of those who think TSL is the better game, despite the ending.

Up until the last quarter of the game, I would agree. The problem is the rush job Obsidian was forced to do. KotOR 2 had so many great moments, but as a complete experience it felt short of its predecessor. All imo.

Baldur's Gate 1. I've played pretty much every RPG they put out right when they came out on the PC. Which meant waiting a bit in Jade Empire's case.
Exactly this actually.

The TSL Restored Content Mod restores quite a lot of the cut content.
IMO, this walkthrough is a riot.

I was extremely happy when I saw that. I keep meaning to download it, but something always gets in the way. What did you think of it?

Kudos to the guys. They have done a very throughout and meticulous job in fixing the bugs, scripting and restoring all the possible cut content expect for those that the original devs had left on the operating table. The game didn't feel nearly as lacking as it felt without the restorations/bug fixes. Even The M4-78 restoration seems to be a WIP.

i never really cared for BioWare back in the 90s, i just wasn't interested despite my love for other similar games (like PS:T)
When i heard they were doing a Star Wars RPG, i was actually looking forward to it..... But Then Morrowind happened and ...... well, before i completely forgot about how sun light looks like, i went out in november 2004 and bought, and loved it btw.
Then it went like this:
played Jade Empire after i finally stopped replaying kotor, and thought it was pretty mediocre.
Then Played Baldur's Gate 2 and became one of my favorite RPGs of all time(second one in fact, behind Morrowind and Ultima IV)
Then Played Mass Effect, loved it.
Then Neverwinter Nights, thought it was good but not amazing.
Then DAO, Adored it
then ME2, adored it as well.
then BG1, Adored it too
and Then..... Played DA2, and vomited all over my screen(not really)
i haven't played Shattered Steel or MDK2.
(Note: KOTOR, DAO, ME2, BG1 AND BG2 are in my top 10 favorite RPGs of all time.
