Baldur's Gate. A good game back then though I was pretty disappointed in it after playing Fallout the year before (had the wrong expectations).
what was your first Bioware game?

It was either KOTOR or Jade Empire...I hated both. I didn't give KOTOR a good try though and quit after two hours. Why? Why? Years later, I hear people calling it an awesome game, I mean it had a slow start IMO but so did Origins and that game came to be one of my best RPG's...wish I gave it a chance now. Maybe in the future.
Jade Empire though...I played through twice and found it below average.
Mass Effect was my third game from Bioware, found it average.
Origins was my fourth and I enjoyed it greatly.
ME2 was my fifth and I enjoyed it.
Dragon Age 2 was my sixth and I found it average. Only managed three play throughs though.

Third was DA2, slightly less than awesome
Forth was ME2, awesome.

KotOR was the first one I played, but I've played most of the other games they've made since then.

Baldurs Gate, its release coincided with getting out of the military and I spent most of the leave I had saved up playing it.

Baldur's Gate 1 was my first. I guess I played all of them by now.
PS: I still think Jade Empire was great and is underrated. In particular, I loved the atmosphere.

BG1. A gaming friend introduced me to it, and it hit me like a freight train.
I think I played BG2 through with every possible permutation of companions in my party.

My first Bioware game was the first game Bioware made: Shattered Steel. Little did I know at the time that Bioware would later make KotOR and the Mass Effect series. Sufficed to say, I was quite surprised when I found out.

Baldur's Gate. It feels like a lifetime ago now. I heard of it long before I bought it. GameFan did a two page article on it, and I was intrigued. The family PC was too crummy to run it at the time, however. It was after I went away to college, when my dad bought me a new laptop, that I finally had a PC up to the task. Although my purchase of Baldur's Gate was completely unplanned. I saw it on a shelf while window shopping at EB and remembered the GameFan article. Buying it was a whim.

Dragon Age: Origins. I actually bought it as my first PC game that wasn't already 4-5 years old or more....and then didn't have a computer that could run it.
By the time I finished it, DA2 was out and I picked that up before moving on to the Mass Effect series. Then I went back and did all the DLC + Awakening for Origins.

Baldur's Gate. My brother got me into gaming by urging me try it out. I was so hooked on it.

Baldur's Gate 2. I remember seeing screenshots of it on IGN and thought how awesome the backgrounds, environments and spell effects looked. Got it for Christmas in 2000 and was blown away.
