Thinking back.... I'd have to say that Baldur's Gate was my introduction to BioWare. I didn't get completely hooked into playing their games until Dragon Age: Origins. Then I practically bought almost all of their games thanks to Steam and GOG.com XD
what was your first Bioware game?

NWN was my first exposure to Bioware, and actually only the second game I ever played after Diablo II. It rocked my world and I've been - as a friend of mine would say - a ****sucking bio**** fanboy, and damn proud of it, ever since

Baldur's Gate.
Then Baldur's Gate 2.
Then Neverwinter Nights.
Then Dragon Age: Origins.
Then Mass Effect.
Then Mass Effect 2.
Then KotOR, but I never finished that one, burnt it to the Dark Gods for being the font of all vileness.

A former co-worker of mine got me into -eh- -cough - the RPG-fix..... We often talked about rpgs and other things...
The year was 1998, or maybe 1999, I had a birthday coming up. My father had just send 500 DKK (100 US dollars) for my birthday. I then went to a gameshop (actually an electronics boutigue that also sold pc games way back then...). I bought Baldur's Gate - mostly because I could control all six characters. I had no idea on who Bioware was way back then. I had heard of Interplay, though. Played Falllout 1 a bit...a lot actually.
The minute I clicked play and had selected my character, I was -ehm- hooked. Candlekeep looked real! It looked like it could have been placed in 11th or 12th century history documentary....The characters were great, and Baldur's Gate told a tale of political intrigue and personal deceit - and then you also had to find out who you actually were. The plot hook was incredibly strong - and still is - I find.
Then Tales of the Sword Coast came out - I played that.
Then BG2- TOB...
And then I meant to play NWN, SW: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, ,Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, but somehow never had the tome to do it.
I played DA: Origins, though and all the dlcs, except the one with the darkspawn and the feastday pranks.
I played DA2+ Legacy.
Have plans to do a playthrough of NWN+all the other games, I mentioned sometime...when I get time.
As for NWN's main campaign when I played the demo many years ago, I also thought it was sort of -meh- but then two expansions came out, a lot of good mods are out there as well.... And it is not ill will that I haven't played all these games yet, I don't just have as much time as I used to have to play games.
I have also played a little bit of MDK2, (because I got it for free with a gaming magazine back around the year 2000, I think?). However, I can't play platformers or games that require to much hand-eye co-ordination; games have there been that I simply had to give up to play (Lara Croft's Tomb Raider games for instance...)
Never played Shattered Steel, though.... Might pick it up from GOG some day, though.

Dragon Age: Origins. Ever since then, I've picked up some of their older games from Steam(NWN, BG Saga and KOTOR). I just started my playthrough of KOTOR today. I feel so bad for Trask Ulgo. I bet he was gonna make an excellent bro. =(

First, I bought an Xbox 360 June 2006. Then I bought Jade Empire, then KOTOR, then I tried BG 1 and 2 which neither resonated with me...
And then Mass Effect came out and haven't missed a Bioware game since.

Baldur's Gate.
I give Origins the GOAT, but prior holders were KOTOR 1 and Baldur's. So well done. KOTOR still get's best "OMG Moment" award.

It was either MDK2 (Dreamcast) KOTOR (Xbox) or Jade Empire (Xbox) I can't remember.
But it was Neverwinter Nights that really turned me on to Bioware. I should say rather, it was the ability to play on RP player worlds that really made me a Bioware fan. Yeah, they were player created worlds. But -Bioware- gave them the tools to create them.
After that it was Mass Effect and then hunting down decent copies of the Baldur's Gate games (That didn't cost a small fortune amazingly) and so on and so forth.

Probably Kotor, I may have played one of the Baldur's Gates, but I suppose it would've needed to be a demo of some sort, so I am going with Kotor.

Neverwinter Nights. I played it until i got bored somewhere in the second act. Then i got Baldur's Gate. Played it until i got frustrated. That didn't took long.
Mass Effect 1 was the first Bioware game i actually liked and played through. Since then i got every new title and played through the older ones as well. (Only Jade Empire is missing so far).

Started with KotOR. Hated it the first day, fell in love with it the second day. I heard Bioware was developing Jade Empire and was skeptical. Finally bought it a half year later and almost loved it as much as KotOR. I heard they were making Mass Effect, yet again I was skeptical. I bought it a few months after release and loved it. It wasn't until DA:O/ME2 that I finally learned and began reserving Bioware games. After ME2, I went back and picked up the old stuff (BG/NwN), which turned out to be disappointing but fun.
