Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a clear answer.

Will the physical ME3 collectors edition become available in more options then what is available now?

Thing is. I live in Europe and do not own a creditcard, I have a physical ME1 copy and a physical ME2 collectors edition copy. The only 3 options available at the moment for the ME3 collectors edition is either 2 North-American storechains which require a credit-card for payment, or EA's Origin program. Which is global and accepting of other payment methods but that only offers a digital copy from what I can gather. And that wouldn't create a nice 'trilogy piece' to display.

In Denmark you can order to CE edition on cdon.dk (all versions). Perhaps it i possible cdon also exist in other countries? If it does, then you might be able to buy the CE there.

Where have you looked? The first place I checked Game.uk has physcial copies.

What stores have you looked at?

Not sure about stores, but as noticed the OP is from Netherlands I decided to go google 'Mass Effect 3 Netherlands' and found this 3 month old topic that someone posted in yesterday, it would appear the Netherlands are still possibly out of luck on this.

As a Dutchman meself I can confirm this. So far I'm only able to get the CE through Game and other retailers from abroad.

Well the retailer I usually buy from (www.shopto.net) is absed in the UK and doesn't seem to get the collectors edition. Amazon.couk doesn't list the CE either. Amazon.de however DOES have the CE.

I live in Germany and always imported my Bioware games from the UK either from shopto or amazon. I wouldn't mind ordering from another retailer, it's just that these two have proven to be the most relieable ones. Why do I preorder from the UK in thefirstplace if I live in Germany? Because the German dubs sound like robots on sedatives. Especially Shepard sounds like the most generic unnatural emotionless brick. It's really awful!

Erm... that's not the point though. The CE IS obviously available in Europe, but the UK version seems a little harder to find for some reason...

I got a better price from Amazon (US) than GameUK (Amazon UK doesn't have it; .de only has the German version.) It still was a painful $126 (vs. what amounts to $133), but at least if the import fees are less than estimated and/or the price gets reduced, they'll refund me the difference.

I tried to google 'mass effect 3 collectors edition europe' and a handful of different variations of that which gave only various news articles about the content or the release date as top hits. the mass effect 2 site only gives the 3 options I mentioned and after scanning a handful of pages of threads on here my assumption was, it seems, an hastily one.

awesome <3
& many thanks!

and yeah as people have noticed I;m from the Netherlands. our local retailers are rather local. and most of the time for these kind of collectors editions you want or need international stores for support.

Erm? Chris posted the place where the CE version is in the UK?

GAME has it.

game.co.uk is indeed one (maybe the only one) option for us Dutchies, since I'd rather not have a German subbed and labeled version.

Problem only is that shipments @ Game take between 3 to 5 working days to arrive. Meaning that whilst the US will get the game on the 6th of march, we will have to wait full week to a week and a half to play the game. The thought of that already makes me want to cry.... :(

It's a shame it not with more retailers, which makes me wonder if GAME acquired exclusive rights in Europe.

I'd rather sit out a few more days of 'radio silence' then have no option at all :)
the fact that it's even available, although from international sources, here in Europe, Netherlands is awesome.

Gamestation still have the PC collectors edition for £59.99 - £10 less than Game
http://www.gamestati...-edition-136414

Somewhat strange pricing given that Gamestation and Game are owned by the same company. Game originally had it for £59.99 as well, but after about a day or two bumped the PC edition up to same price as PS3/XBox.

All of the few stores that are offering the collector's edition of ME3 are charging much more than its US price.  Are there exclusivity deals with some stores that are giving them much more of a free reign to set these extortionate prices than they would have if the market was open?  Or is it just that only a few stores have decided to offer the CE?

This is why I went with Amazon US. I get my game between the 9th-13th (and with Amazon, I generally have had very good shipping results) for less money than GameUK was asking ( the VAT plus shipping makes it not worth it when you convert the prices) and a possibility of paying even less than the cover charge due to their refund and import fee policies.

Gamestation--I couldn't get their slow, buggy site to work, so I shrugged my shoulders and moved on.

Wrong, I buy every game from amazon.de and I play every game in english.
The times are over when we had to play the dubbed version.

I wouldn't worry too much, it's only September. I know it's normal in the US to pre-order games a loooong time in advance, but I doesn't happen as often here in the Netherlands, with a few exceptions like GameMania or 12Game.

@ OP

http://social.biowar...index/7636043/1

I made this compendum thread and it's been sitting quietly but hopefully once the release date comes closer I will be able to add... pre-order bonuses stuff... or more sites. As of the moment it's very quiet but take a look there, there are so *many* places in the EU where you can get a physical CE.

Well unless it's the 360 version that doesn't have enough disc-space to contain other languages it seems...

Britain IS a part of Europe. They are a member state of the EU.

I'm a Dutchman who is also ordering through Game.co.uk. I long ago accepted the fact that Dutch retailers suck, it's also next to impossible to order a physical SWTOR CE here.

Just be patient, it's still 6 months away. Eventually the CE's will become available on various webshops. I just hope it's not as limited as Deus Ex's CE seemed to be...

I don't find Dutch retailers to be that bad, but we do on occasion get the short end of the stick.
