is europe screwed out of a physical pre-order/collectors edition?

And what have you been reading? There is no retailer around the netherlands or belgium that sells the CE, pre-ordering it from a different country seems to be the only way, which is a sob if you don't use a CC.

Anyway i'm really bummed out by this, i undid my me3 preorder since it was the normal version. I want to have a full set of the special edition games.

SE and CE are very good ways to secure some pre-orders. I recently got DEHR aug edition for 65€, which is the price of the normal version around here. I understand eidos would sell the aug edition over here, but a brand as big as bioware, and a publisher as big as EA sure have come to dissapoint me. We are ofcourse not in great enough numbers to matter that much in sales, but still, it would be nice to have a CE;)

Sadly enough it seems game has paid to get it exclusively too bad amazon does not have it :(

Many people have been asking more info on the availability of the CE in the Netherlands or Belgium. I don't have a creditcard, so there's no way to pre-order it outside the Netherlands. And please don't say "Use PayPal!11". ScamPal sucks.

Many people have been asking more info on the availability of the CE in the Netherlands or Belgium. I don't have a creditcard, so there's no way to pre-order it outside the Netherlands. And please don't say "Use PayPal!11". ScamPal sucks.

Yeah and since game was allowed to monopolize the CE over here, they upped the price to ridicilous proportions. I got DEHR aug edition, which has pretty much the same amount of content as the ME3CE for the same price as a normal game. The retailer over here, game mania, often gives away the limited and collectors editions for the same price as the normal game, unless it contains a figurine or a another big prop.

Either bend over and take it from Game, or bend over and take it from bioware <--- you'll want the cerberus card esque exclusive dlc, which you'll have to cough up for later, going up to 20€ just for 5 guns, and a possible extra character.

i am dissapoint:sick:

Well ya gotta remember Mass Effect 3 is still 27 weeks from release at this point... So I wouldn't get too worried whether or not the CE will show up on your stores just yet :)

Polish version on PC also had a forced dub, and I don't have to mention that it was a horrible one. Funny thing is, the english files were also installed on your machine but the user was not given the option to select language at instalation, we had to edit inis for it to work...

To this day I have no idea what were they thinking.

Wow, this is so facepalm worthy. I'm not against dubbing, but please give us the option to choose!

Not sure about stores, but as noticed the OP is from Netherlands I decided to go google 'Mass Effect 3 Netherlands' and found this 3 month old topic that someone posted in yesterday, it would appear the Netherlands are still possibly out of luck on this.


Sadly true. A few stores have ME3 available for pre-order but not a single Dutch store is offering the collector's edition. Nothing to do but sit tight and wait I suppose...:mellow:

You couldn't be more wrong.

I was able to order the CE of AC: R at bol.com back in July, and that's not 'a month or 2 before release'.

I placed my GOW LI pre-order almost as soon as it was available, it was during the same time as the normal version was made available to preorder, ME3 is possible to preorder, but only the standard edition.

I preordered ME2CE about 5 months prior to release, it was already available for preorder for over a month back then.

Don't worry, Amazon says us Americans will have to wait about a week to get ours.

Belgiums can speak French right? You can order on Amazon France

Euh it's not as easy as that. Yes Flemish Belgians usually CAN speak French, as Wallonian or Walish or dunno just the French-lingual Belgians can speak Dutch (well they think they speak Dutch, we Dutch people just think they speak Flemish Image IPB and often just call it 'Belgian', but the latter is a compliment really, we don't think the 'Walen' are true Belgians). The problem is: they hate eachother, so basically most Flemish Belgians don't want to have anything to do with the French Belgians and vice versa.
The Flemish Belgians probably really want the English version.

I'm pretty sure the devs have nothing to say in this, since thats what publishers (--> EA) are for. We wont get an answer, unless we are really lucky one of the Bioware's knows more then he/she should. :huh:

Well, it was the first facepalm, but you could google how to solve it in a minute.
The ultimate facepalm was when BioWare stopped DLC support for Polish, Hungarian and Czech versions of the game, starting with LotsB. I felt like I am second category customer.
The result is that my ME2 CE lays on the shelf, and I use digital edition. Still, I'd prefer to know that I paid for a game I wanted the first time, not go through some magic trics to play it the way I want.

That's why I even consider buying ME3 CE outside of my country, because I don't trust BioWare and EA Poland, that I won't be disrespected like that again; however €75 + transport is far too much that most of polish players can pay for a PC game (especially, when ME3 SE is about €31 in pre-order in Poland, and revealed CE content is not that astonishing) .

I tried contacting EA Poland for any information, but they keep their mouth shut.

Even if you can speak french, like me, you still don't want their dub, it'll make you razor your ears off and shove em down your earholes. I played JE in french, i died a little that day :crying:
