Hi all. I just purchased the Kasumi DLC and downloaded the .exe file directly from Bioware.
When I run the .exe file and try to install the DLC, the installer will begin authentication. However, after the authentication is complete there is no installation. I checked the game and indeed, there is no dossier available for Kasumi.
Does/did anyone else have this problem and is there a way to solve it? I've tried downloading the .exe file again but there was no difference. Rebooting didn't change anything either, as well moving the .exe file to the designated DLC folder in the ME2 install directory and running it from there.
Additional info: the .exe file I downloaded for the Kasumi DLC is recognised as simply a .exe file, unlike some of the other DLCs I have which are identified as Bioware installers. Could this be a source of the probelm?
Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Unable to install Kasumi DLC

Most likely a download issue. Clear your cache, delete the files, download new with a clean Google chrome browser, and then try reinstall.
Reply back if it doesn't work, but try it 3-4 times.

I had the same problem, it would download ok but would not install, drove me insane.
tbh I think it's pot luck, just keep trying, from what I have read on the forums if the downloaded exe does not show as an Me2 exe then it will not work, and make sure you have all security software turned off during the download and install.
If your desktop freezes at any point just after the download treat it as a good sign and wait it out, mine froze for about 3mins then installed ok, after many many failed installs.
I think the main problem with this DLC is it really does not like anything running in the backgroud during install.

Thanks guys! I finally got it to work
I did as mcsupersport suggested and cleared my cache and redownloaded. Then when I installing it authenticated and disappeared again. I opened up my task manager and checked the processes, and sure enough, there was some Kasumi DLC .exe process running. I waited for a while and there was indeed a bit of lag when the installation finally started.
If something like this happens when people try to install ME3 when it comes out we're gonna hear a lot of screaming XD

I think it has to do with the size of the DLC. The most common issues are all with the large files, Shadow Broker, Kasumi, and Overlord, all of which are fairly large files compared to the item packs and stuff. This means the files are more likely to have corruption, and thus issues, will take longer for the install .exe to verify the file integrity before installation, and thus creating a pause in install that people don't expect. I don't know if they didn't put up a flash screen soon enough in the install or if they didn't think it would be an issue.
If they keep the same dl system, and the dlc are of the same quality in ME3 then I fully expect to keep seeing these exact same kind of threads in ME3.
