Before I start for those anti-cheaters out there, I've already finished the game so leave me alone.

Now this is what I've done, created a new shortcut put -enabledeveloperconsole and the .exe part. Left a space between the dash and the quotation mark (otherwise it wouldn't have accepted the change).

Did this part - Open the file \\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings\\KeyBindings.ini in your My Documents folder. Find the line that says OpenConsole_0 and change the value after the equals sign (=) to Keyboard::Button_Tilde.

And when I start the game press the ` button and start pressing keyboard keys madly, I just end up bringing my journal up, character page etc.  It doesn't work!!!!

Can anyone please help?

Did you type the actual word "tilde"? Because, I'm fairly sure that won't work I have it enabled by just typing ` so it reads as keyboard::button_` and it seems to work for me so far.

I have another problem. There's no "daorigins.exe" file for me. The only file that lets me edit "target" in the bin folder is "DAOriginsLauncher.exe"-mce. If I add the command at the end of that, in front of mce, or in place of mce, and change "Grave" to " ` " in the specified file, it doesn't work. All I want is to give my fifth character 300 gold. Is that so much to ask????

Yes I tried both tilde as a word and tilde as a symbol. Still no luck. Any other suggestions?

Change your console button to something else. I used X.



I had to hit the tilde key and then X to open the console.

Nothing was visible on screen for me. TYPE the code in, copy/paste doesn't work.
