Hi.
I recently bought a new graphic card (an AMD Radeon HD 6870) and I found that Mass Effect is rather laggy with it. The game is patched (1.02, if my memory serves me right) and I have Bring Down the Sky.
My computer is as such:
CPU: Dual Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50 GHz
RAM: 4 GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6870
OS: Windows 7 32-bits
Maybe I missed something, maybe it's the OS (it was fine (laggy but fine) with my old Graphic card (which was an AMD Radeon HD 4600). Is there any way I can make it less laggy?
If you need more info, just ask.
Thanks in advance.

What drivers are you using for your GPU?
And while we are at it what programs are running in the background during play?

The latest ones. I updated them as soon as I installed my new GPU.

Need to bump this. I tried to re-install but it didn't worked better. The only programs running in the backgound are my anti-virus (Avira) and Winpatrol. I'm running out of options. Is there anything to optimize the game (like an unofficial patch or some tweaking in the configuration files)?

You should look around for versions compatible with ME of your video card, seems that most newest GPU drivers forgot ME already...

same problem... Radeon HD 6790, newest Direct X and Drivers and the game is unplayable... on any setting...
Edit: reinstalling patch 1.02 abd the BDtS DLC helped considerably
