My hometown (St. Louis,USA ) is situated on one of the majorfault lines in the United States. More likely than not, my hometown is going to be destroyed by a massive earthquake by 2186. Here's hoping that they build it with a tad more foresight next time around.

For those who are confused: I live in The Netherlands and I bet my money on that The Netherlands will be flooded before the 22nd century.

Actually, if the image of earth in ME2 is any indication, it looks pretty much the same geography-wise

I don't know if it'll look that different ;) I'm not sure what a future AZ would like.

My hometown is Seattle so I get to watch Reapers destroy it at the beginning of the game!

I live in a conservative, redneck **** town. My guess would be that this place will be a ghetto, thanks to it's undereducated populations unwillingness to solve it's social problems.

Bellevue, Nebraska (right next to Omaha, the biggest city here in Nebraska) will likely still be a mid-sized city surrounded by farmland I imagine. Not sure if the Reapers would be interested in targeting it though during the Cold War we were a prime target. Bellevue is home to Offutt AFB which used to be Strategic Air Command HQ. It's got one of those command centers buried deep underground kind of like you see in the movie War Games.

Yeah, large parts of Detroit remind me of the game Fallout.

The town I was born in is Pittsburgh, so I would imagine that it would still be varying shades of gray and brown.

Hometown is Los Angeles, and if anything it'll be even more urban and be more of a metropolitan area probably connecting with San Diego

My hometown is San Antonio and according to the first book it merged with Dallas and Houston to make the Texas Megapolis and is apparently one of the poorer regions on Earth. So yeah, that pretty much fits my Earthborn status I think.

Iam from dallas. I did read that in the begining of the first book.

My question is why does dallas/san antonio/houston an over populated poor area? It seems that the north east U.S. would be an over populated slums WAY before Texas does. The areas in Texas are very populated yes but they are not getto/poor. New England/South California areas will most likely become over populated slums ....not.... East Texas.

What do you think your home town will look like in 2186? Will it be as good/bad as it is now or will it get better/worse?

Well here's what I got for mine

Yup, my hometown is Athens...  and this pic is my first ever try of photoshop so cut me some slack :P

Took me an hour to make...  Not really a serious vision of future Athens. Just something I did when I was bored.

Anyway, post what you think will happen to your hometown in 2 centuries... and if you got pics, post 'em as well!

First of all you are violating the height restriction law 360/76 that imposes severe height limitation on all new buildings in Athens. Secondly you can bet that during the digging of the foundations they will 99% find ancient stuff, which will delay the construction by God knows how many months/years till the Archaiologiki Ipiresia comes, evaluates the site, moves the antiquities and gives the green light. Thirdly it is evident that you are placing the towers in areas where important people live, like in Plaka so expect hell.

You claim to be from Athens but if you were really from there you would know these things and you would have placed the towers in areas like Ilion or Nea Filadelfia, areas of Athens that nobody cares about. I assume off course that in the planning there is space for the new AEK stadium eh?:P

Hahaha! You forgot to mention how the people from neighbouring buildings will complain about how the towers block the (already ****ty) view from their balconies and force the construction to be delayed for 3 or 5 years.

Hmm...  new AEK stadium? Only if they get us a decent new Toumba at first :P (Gia afthendiko Paoki milame, tora ;))

(I am actually from Thessaloniki but I didnt bother explaining to the foreigners, the existance of other cities in Greece other than Athens and Sparta :D)

I've always moved around alot in my life, so I dont have a hometown. The city I'm currently living in Newport, South Wales, is just getting worse as time goes. It used to be a town, became a city in the last ten years, crime has shot up (to one of the worst in the UK) there's alot more poverty, half of the city centre has been closed down, and there are loads of industrial sites across the city like steelworks, foctorys polluting the air, and there are two dumps but they're currently looking to make another one here! As you can tell I hate this place and would rather not see how bad it's going to be in the future. I think half the problem is becuase Newport is a ten minute drive from Cardiff, a much bigger and richer city, Newports just the sh*t part of it basically. They held the Ryder cup here not long ago, so alot of buildings got turned into hotels and just about everyone who came over from other countries stayed in Cardiff instead, lol. This place could get better, but I dont see it happening.
