PC. It's the only way I game. That wasn't always the case but the more I got into video games the more I was drawn to the PC.
Do you prefer mas effect on pc or consoles?

I know that Gibbed's save editor can be put on Xbox but I have always been to nervous to do it out of fear of my account getting in trouble.
No, you don't put it on the 360. You take a save off the console, modify it on your PC, then put it back. Besides, you're not cheating in a multiplayer title, so they have zero reason to care.

I have played on PC and Xbox, and I prefer the PC mainly for the hotkeys and quicksave. There aren't that many differences though in the end.

I'm actually one that likes both. I'm slowly getting back into PC gaming. Keyboard hand hasn't missed a beat, but my mouse hand still needs more practice.
I like the graphics better on PC, but I do play smoother with a controller. I haven't tried modding yet, but I might in the future.
@KingNothing
My first console was a Tandy version of Pong from the last 70's. I also grew up on a console, but I used to do a lot of PC gaming once I got a PC.
I'm probably in the minority on that. Cause I like both.

Only on the PC. I am most comfortable at my desk. When I play a game using a console I get neck kinks.

I've always been a console gamer. The first console that was ever actually mine was the N64, but before that I grew up playing my uncle's NES and SNES.
A controller just always felt more comfortable to me. While I see the obvious advantages of the mouse and keyboard, I just don't enjoy playing games with it as much.
Only when a game is very clearly superior on PC (Dragon Age: Origins, for example) will I play it for PC.

Well, Mass Effect was must buy for me since it was a Bioware game and from my expereince with their previoud IPs, especially KoTOR, since it is a sci-fi type game. AT first, ME was only available on the Xbox. While it was an a awesome game on that platform, the texture pop-ins, frame-rate issues and more importantly, those awful loading times were bothersome. The PC version is much better, so I played that more, plus the PC version handled squad commands and inventory much better..
Having said that, ME2 was a PC pruchase only and I still played it on my HDTV using a PC wireless 360 controller, and used HDMI from form PC to my TV. It was cool because I felt like I was still playing an Xbox version with the controller, but still had the controls and GUI of the PC version. Honestly, I prefer the PC version, since it can be modded (somewhat on ME2 anyway) and ME had a console command.

The reason why I still prefer to play games (including ME) on PC is keyboard and mouse. I just feel handicapped by analog sticks.

Been gaming on computers for nigh on 30 years (first computer was a ZX81) and been a PC gamer for nearly 20 years. So it goes without saying I prefer Mass Effect on the PC. Aside from the improved graphics, higher res, faster frame rate and a control system I actually enjoy. I can say that being able to completely cut out that god forsaken mining mini game prevented me from consigning ME 2 to the bin.

I have ME series on both and love both. However, I prefer 360 since I have Cerebral Palsy and controls are easier for my hands

PC. Just a matter of personal preference for me I guess. Had both a 360 and PS2 where they have strong games that work well on them. Still, the PC has better graphics and the rest already mentioned above. Playing any number of games on a big monitor with SLI doesn't hurt either.
Also the modding for ME2 is a breeze on the PC. Like charmingcharlie mentioned above, the mining games just kill me. Hit the magic key, forget the crappy grind part of it and let's get down to business. Perfect.

Do the rest of you console prefer-ers have a similar story? Or are you members of the GoldenEye/Halo generation (people who grew up playing shooters on consoles)?
I got a NES when I was 8, but never played it alot, got a SNES (Mario RPG is one of my favorite games of all time), and N64. I cut my teeth on Goldeneye and Perfect Dark in high school. Then everything changed in '99 when I bought Half-Life and ran it on my crappy PC. I have been a predominantly PC gamer ever since, I can barely use a controller effectively for shooters at this point.
The only games I play on my console (Xbox) are exclusives and AC/PoP style games where the controller is smoother.

My history.
As for ME specifically I got free copy off friend for 360 so played it there first, I then picked up ME2 for PS3 just because it was promised to have partly the engine for ME3 of which was not impressed and very much assume it has since been improved for ME3. Now I also own a copy of ME2 on PC and I'm sticking with PC for the foreseeable future for simple aspect of higher resolution, better graphics and most importantly mods.

No question PC for me. I find analog sticks a very clumsy way to play a game.

I've only played on PC, but my general preference for shooter style games is PC. But I'm sure I would have loved ME just as much as I do now if I had played on 360 instead of PC.
