If I had a better PC back in '07 I never would have bothered with the XBox, however I mainly play ME games on the Xbox 360 because it's where I started.

PC. More control, and when I'm playing on it, I feel like a boss. When I'm on the Console, I feel like I'm playing with two people that suck. I know you can boss them around just as much, but I hate freezing time constantly. Combat classes are what rock on the console. And I play as a caster class.

I started on the console so I'll finish it on the console. my PC could run the games but I only put PC exclusives on my PC to save space.

Anyone who says they prefer it (or any game) on console is speaking out of ignorance.

The PC is objectively superior to consoles in every way. There is absolutely nothing that the console has on the PC whatsoever.

Of course, your opinion is fact. I forgot.

I prefer my gaming on PC. Some games though like fighters and racing games I'll play on my tv. There are just some games that I feel more comfortable with a controller.

I have both games for both PC and Xbox. While I like the smoothness and 1-2 second loading screens from the PC version, I like the Xbox controls better. (For fluid movement) The only reason I don't play the 360 version any more is because of the lag. I don't know if it's because it's locked at 30 fps or because of too many DLC's, but whenever there's a fight there's a huge framerate drop. Specifically in Last Stand on Arrival. But I might just have to suck it up if they make Origins mandatory for PC.

And we made it almost three pages before someone was rude.

Seriously, it's a discussion about personal preference, not a reproductive organ waving contest.  Some people like playing on the console.  Some people like playing on the PC.  There's no right or wrong answer, and one is not inherently superior to the other.  Both have their advantages.  The PC, for example, offers more flexibility, while the consoles offer controller support without additional software, and access to the Console specifc networks such as XBox Live of PlayStation Network, which streamline the acquisition of DLC.

Dude, some people even play the game on, *gasp* a Mac, for crap sake.

Well to be honest, I originally picked up the game for console largely because the PC version hadn't come out yet.  I also bought it on a whim (I was returning a duplicate gift) and remembered that I'd liked the ads for Mass Effect, so I picked it up.  It turned out to be one of my favorite games of all time.  Of course, knowing what I know now, I would never go to PC.  I really don't like using the keyboard for movement.  WASD needs to die, badly.  I'll take my omnidirectional, one finger thumbstick over "up, left, down, right" keys anyday.  Strafing is just so much easier.

It is also much more fun to shoot by pulling a trigger than clicking a mouse button, imo.  Clicking is just so passive, it helps my immersion a bit to feel the trigger squeeze and the controller shake in my hands.

I am a PC gamer and I am connecting it to my Home Theater. I prefer PC because of better GPU and custom mods, which are not available in console.

I'm a PC gamer, and I really suck at using a gamepad to control my character and such in that way I cannot understand why anybody would prefer that over keyboard+mouse in this kind of games (or even 'true' fps's).

In case of the Mass Effects: although the first one wasn't a perfect conversion, I read that it's superior in many ways to the Xbox original.
The second one's pc version seemed a bit better optimised for PC hardware than the first, I don't even experience microstuttering as opposed to a little-bit-but-hardly-noticable in ME1 on my dual-GPU. Also the sound was WAY better. My only gripe with ME2 is the lack of in-game finetuning of mouse sensitivity. I don't really know about version differences between the PC and X360 version of ME2, aside from the User Interface.

Hmm... I have to say that I can't say I have a preference. I have the game for both PC and PS3, I got it on the latter after the former died on me and at the time didn't have the money to get a replacement, I found myself more confident in notching up the difficulty on the PS3 than I had played the game on PC, but since getting a new PC I've found I've been able to up the difficulty on that too. So I can't say that either is my favourite, I like them both equally.

As for a certain someones post on this page, people should just ignore it because as earlier said by Jreezy it is nice to see a topic of this nature going on without that kind of behaviour that post is exhibiting. Don't let the twit sink you to their level.

How is it "rude"?

I did not insult anyone nor did I bash consoles. Just because consoles are inferior does not make them crap. 2 million dollars is more than 500 thousand, but I doubt anyone whould turn their noses up at 500K.  I simply stated an objective fact. Any game on PC is better unless a developer went out of there way to make it worse on purpose. Even if all things are equal (direct console port) there will always be more options when playing on PC. Just liitle things like the fact that you can decide your own control scheme, mod easier, etc. makes it better.

The Internet: Where anything that runs contrary to your liking is "rude".

I prefer playing on consoles because it's easier on my wallet, and I don't have to worry about a bunch of technical matters. I put it in, it plays, end of story. So I prefer playing games on consoles because there's rarely any hassle to do so. Call that ignorance if you like.
