...specifically the ones that add other campaigns to the game menu like Leliana's Song or Witch Hunt. I'm just wondering if there is an optimum time to do these other campaigns, like after you finish the Origins campaign or at a certain level? After awakenings? Could you even do them before you even start a Origins campaign with a new character and then import that character over to Origins? I haven't tried any of them yet though I've already finished Origins and am up to like level 27 or so in Awakenings.....

Are these other campaigns of significant length or real fast like an hour? If you do one of these DLC campaigns and get gear specific to that DLC, can you then transfer your character over to Origins or Awakenings and keep that gear?

Anyways thanks for any info. I know I could just play them and figure it out after completeing them all. But I'm thinking starting a new 2nd character and figured if there was an optimal order to do them in, I would prefer to do that.

You play a 10th level Leliana in Leliana's Song, with no references to your Origins or Awakening playthroughs (because it happens before Leliana meets the Warden). So you can play it any time.

Witch Hunt is meant to be played after Morrigan's departure from the group, and optionally after Awakening as well. (But the events of Awakening don't impact Witch Hunt, IIRC.) I've never tried playing them out of order, so I don't know if you *can* or not. I think if you make a new Warden, it's an Orlesian, and that won't import to DAO; don't know about Awakening.

I'm a very slow player, so don't ask me about play times. :) They are not as long as Awakening, and I think most folks pegged them at around 2 hours.

There is gear which you can access in DAO, even with a different character. (So you could play Witch Hunt with an Orlesian to unlock the gear, then play Origins and use the gear, and then play Witch Hunt with your DAO Warden if you liked.) I don't know if the DAA bug that keeps it from seeing (for instance) Starfang will also keep it from seeing the weapons and armor from these DLCs.

You can't import a Witch Hunt character to Awakening.

The order of play is:

Origins - Awakenings - Golems of Amgarrak - Witch Hunt

Stone Prisoner, Warden's Keeps and Return to Ostagar happen within Origins. Leliana's Song and Darkspawn Chronicles are standalone and can be done at any time since you will not be playing the warden in them (though you'll probably want to do them after Origins just to avoid story spoilers).

And no you cannot import out of sequence. You can skip ahead (importing, say, your Origins warden into Witch Hunt) but you can never go back (importing you Witch Hunt warden into Origins).

But, as an added confusion, playing through the DLCs can unlock tasty equipment for your next run of Origins. You can't import, so just start a new Origin game, and beefy equipment you found in DLCs will simply appear in your origin.

Thanks everyone for the responses. And double kudos to Ferretinabun, that was exactly the info I was trying to figure out.
