The bridge is made up of 4 sections.
Around the room are pressure pads, which 'activate' (not sure how else to refer to it) either 1 or 2 sections. Initially, when a section is 'activated', it is transparent. When there are two pressure pads activating it, the section becomes solid, and a character can step onto it.
So, to demonstrate the principle, if a character 1 stands on a pad which 'activates' section 1, section 1 becomes see-through. Then character 2 stands on a pad which activates sections 1 AND 2, section 1 is solid (so character 4 can step onto it), while section 2 is transparent. Then, character 3 can step onto a pad which activates sections 2 (making it solid) and 3 (making it transparent). Character 4 can now step onto section 2. Character 1 can now step off their pressure pad and go and find a pad which activates sections 3 AND 4...
I'm sure you get the idea.
So all you need to work out is which pad activates which bridge section. Which is easy. Just grab some paper and a pen and have a character step on each of them in turn. And voila, you're good to go.

The way I did it was to write down what each of the pads did on their own, that makes it easier than to remember them.
