I take it many people here haven't played FemShep in Mass Effect 1 then? Her walking and running animations were not girly, nor were they the same as Male Shep's animations.
I *really* hope they don't make these types of mistakes with ME3.
Femshep not so feminine

Actually, they were the exact same animations. The difference in size and gender between Shepars created the illusion that they were different and that femShep moved more like a woman.Fiery Phoenix wrote...

Also, FemShep had more of a curve near where her butt started in the first game, what happened to that?

And, as you say, it looked good even though they weren't sex-specific.marshalleck wrote...

So sex-specific animations are not needed. Gender neutral animations like those in ME1 are fine.
The end, indeed. May you say that to all the people demanding sex-specific animations as well?

Otherwise I think her masculine traits are fine. She's a soldier, not a flight attendant.

You have the eye of a Hawk.
Or maybe a frat boy.
Same thing.
Bring it back, anyway.
How hard is it to have multiple motion captures? Couldn't you just have a girl and a guy doing the same animations at the same time? Besides, not all scenes would need it. Besides sitting, running, walking, hugz, and dancing, what else would need multiple animations?

How hard would it be to have her move like Aria or Morinth or even Liara? It's a stupid script. It's one of those 1 for male, 0 for female things in a script. If g=1 do gait = 1. If g=0 do gait=0 or whatever. They got lazy with it.

Woo, what a catch.
If serious. One would think you could only be that vapid on purpose, but I always keep getting proven wrong.

I tried typing in "frat boy" and "douchebag" to find a fitting picture for him, but was insulted by some unnerving pictures.

Fem Shep should cross her legs at least when she sits down. Even masculine women do that.

I think Shepard does that while boozing with Chakwas.

I think Aria is a good example of how Femshep *should* act.
Great example.
Aria has a somewhat masculine look and persona, but she's also got some feminine mannerisms. She crosses her legs when she sits, for example.

Strong, athletic but still feminine. Maybe a tad less muscular but otherwise I wouldn't complain if femshep were modeled after the woman pictured above. Jessica Biel comes to mind when thinking about a very beautiful and feminine body that is also althletic and toned.

I would say it's a fact that a woman like Shepard, who sees death in every day of her life, becomes more crude, masculine and blunt as the days pass on. Of course it's a man's utopia to have a girly girl who can kick ass but they are in a minority. A real small minority at that.
A recurring joke among us was that some women came to military because they were too ugly to get men in civilian life. Living among men, any woman is a welcome sight after two weeks in the jungle.

I've seen plenty of military women as I've served in a military and I can say that the most successful army girls were the most masculine ones. Those who wore makeup on leave and had pretty artificially colored hair tended to be attention seekers in a male dominated minisociety. Not saying that they were inferior, but we're talking about a high-class commander here saving the galaxy.

We don't know necessarily if the universe is a mantopia....The most "advanced" (for sake of argument) race is the Asari and they represent a good portion of female humans.
