@ Lucky Thirteen

No one in this thread has stated that they want her to be a "proper" english lady. She just needs different rigging from mShep, because her skeleton doesn't match up with his, especially for blocking in scenes.

If she's going to get a new skeleton, then she might as well get a woman (a strong and confident woman) to do her blocking. Getting "gender neutral" animations just doesn't work, because there aren't gender neutral people to do the motion capture.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- Jennifer Hale put so much hard work into creating the superb verbal presentation that Shepard gives. FemShep fans put so much hard work into creating their PCs. Why shouldn't Bioware also put that same level of appreciation into femShep as well?

(It isn't that damn hard to find a woman who can perform motion capture without sauntering around like she's in her underwear. It just isn't that hard.)

They should just work harder at making a normal looking walk. Men and women don't walk that differently, bioware just suck at making walking animations.

As many have pointed out, the ME1 walk/run animations were fine.  Oddly enough quite a number of people thought that both Shepards had separate walk animations in ME1, but they didn’t.  It was simply the difference in size between broShep and femShep that lead to that illusion.

I liked how she moved and danced in ME though for dancing I would prefer my fshep not do the shep shuffle she should dance decent at least. Mshep can shuffle all he wants. I really don't like my shep's being clones of each other it's getting to the point of VS and that's not good.

Here's a solution. Give every Shep a pony and have them ride everywhere. Then the devs only have to worry about animating the pony's gait and not doing two separate ones for each sex.

This idea works. I support it.

She did close her legs while having drinks with Liara. It's a start.

When wearing the dress, I first noticed that when I sat and talked to Garrus.  I found it more humorous than annoying.  Still, it was enough for me to wear the Cerberus coveralls for the rest of the game.

I too was glad to see that she kept her legs closed during the Liara scene after lotSB though given the number of my femsheps who romanced her that would've been a fitting time for such a display.

;)

I don't. Did you see how Twilight looked at Spike when he tried that? Imagine if it weren't her best friend.

Anyway...on topic...

I agree. Females don't walk like that. She doesn't have to sway her hips. Just look normal.

I like how people immediately start talking about catwalks and swaying hips, when no one's asking for that.

lol! Some girls do forget to sit with their knees together though. Reminds me of a slighty OT but relevant story.

Back  when I was in school, we had one classroom fitted with a large horseshoe shaped conference table, with a podium in the gap. Mainly it was used for class presentations or guest speeches and stuff. But it developed an infamous reputation.

You see, our uniform code at the time was old school; Blazers and the girls had to wear skirts and whenever we used that classroom, people sat one side had clear view straight up the skirts of the girls sat opposite and no matter how often they were reminded the girls would forget and uncross their legs. Much hilarity and facepalming ensued.

FemShep has always been too manly for my taste. Her animations looked like a man so I thought" I can play a man or a woman that seems like a man?",then just chose a man... Her voice didnt make me think sexy either so I wander about ME3 with the sexy new FemShep and if they'll change her VAing or not. If she still sounds butch with that face... I wont be trying her ME3 either... I love Female Hawke's animations. She makes you feel like your playing a sexy women that can wipe out a army by herself and as she plunges her sword thru your chest, make you fall in love with her... She could set your troops on fire, leave you as the last one standing and instead of plotting revenge, you'll be plotting on how to get in her pants... Even if it kills you. She never felt any less in power due to having sexy animations, a sexy voice, or great looks. ME3 needs to bring the fire! Sadly the make over is all I expect from Bioware...

Shep's just showin' off the goods.  Nobody's gonna jump in there without an invitation if they value their life.

No wander the admiral deciced to brief Shepard personally. XD, but yea, no matter how manbly a woman is, i've never seen a woman sit like that normally and never infront of another man, gay or not, like that.

I'm fine with the way FemShep moves and fights, if you want your female character to move like on a cat walk and swing her hips like a fashion model you don't want to play a game where the main character is a bloody hardcore special ops soldier who kills people and saves the galaxy.
Female Shep moves efficiently, not girlishly.

Compare the female walking and running animations in ME1 and ME2.

I want the ME1 animations back.

Guys, I really recommend you to reread Rules of Conduct #2 about posting gifs and single pictures that bring nothing to the current discussion, before you get a warning or a ban.

The whole pose thing is because in ME2 they used the male shep's rig for fem shep. It's why she walks funny, sits even worse and can't dance worth crap. Frankly I'm hoping they will give femshep her own rigging like they did in ME1.

This.

Although, the more we bring this up, the better. Just proves to BioWare that we care about it more than they might think.

My wife brought up a valid point on her latest playthrough of ME2 which we both hope will be addressed in ME3

She felt that her female Shephard didn't move in a feminine way. She always sat with her legs open like a guy would, and the dancing... oh boy. I know both male and female Sheps both sucked when it came to dancing...

Did anyone else notice this? Hopefully we can have a nice feminine Shephard in ME3. Also... the hair. Hopefully we can have better hair. Some longer hair would be nice.

Who's with me??! Image IPB

Blame BioWare for using male animations for femShep in ME2. It was all different in ME1.

Dancing? It's not that bad, really.

Also, I urge anyone who thought ME2's animations were good enough to go back to ME1 and do some comparison between both games in terms of animations; it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. The ME1 animations were obviously much better--especially for FemShep.
