FemShep has always been too manly for my taste. Her animations looked like a man so I thought" I can play a man or a woman that seems like a man?",then just chose a man... Her voice didnt make me think sexy either so I wander about ME3 with the sexy new FemShep and if they'll change her VAing or not. If she still sounds butch with that face... I wont be trying her ME3 either... I love Female Hawke's animations. She makes you feel like your playing a sexy women that can wipe out a army by herself and as she plunges her sword thru your chest, make you fall in love with her... She could set your troops on fire, leave you as the last one standing and instead of plotting revenge, you'll be plotting on how to get in her pants... Even if it kills you. She never felt any less in power due to having sexy animations, a sexy voice, or great looks. ME3 needs to bring the fire! Sadly the make over is all I expect from Bioware...

It was nice she got her own rig and attention though. Thats as far as it goes really. Shows Bioware can care about if they want to and create a separate rig for her.
Still at this point I just expect the same rig for femshep as ME2. I just hope its more polished as I have said.

Everything was fine in ME1 but then ME2 happened. What they were thinking? They changed the animations for both and made both to run and walk like apes.Captain Crash wrote...

The thing is they used the same walking animation from when you walk up to Joker at the very beginning of the game. At that point, the animation in question fit the scene. But BioWare decided to stick to that animation for the entire rest of the game and for both genders. It's utter laziness.Tup3xi wrote...

One thing yet to be mentioned is that Shepard has a pretty significant limp. It can only be activated (on PC) by pressing and holding ctrl+W. That's possibly one of the reasons the walk is so "off" for both Sheps.
Indeed. I pulled something resucing Ashley from that beacon.
Still no "Thank you" I might add.
Well actually I think the doin' it was the thank you.
Still.
I want a thank you muffin.

Yes, please keep bringing this up until the awkwardness is addressed. If the animation is not going to be changed, then at least adjust the angle to make it more tasteful. Miranda was one exception, Femshep in the dress does not need to flash guys during a conversation. Just bringing in a close-up of Femshep's face during conversation could spare the risk of a whole debate.
Or have femShepard sit like Aria/TIM, and mShep sit like mShep/Garrus.

I don't know. She should do it once, just as a joke.

Seriously though I've seen Japanese game females who's movements are more natural.

I don't think the way Shepard moved in ME2 was a masculine/feminine thing. Clearly the animation wasn't extensively worked on and both male and female Shepard moved like gorillas.
Lol this. Both Femshep and Sheploo walk and run cycles were horrible.

i remember like the second or first conversation you have with miranda, femshep is wearing the dress, sits whith her legs out wide... and uhhhhhh her hands are down there..... yup..... not well planed bioware....
It's because the dress wasn't planned at all. I can kinda get the gripe about Arrival...if only just because while, yes, they did know of its existence when Arrival was made, it's still entirely your choice to go running around your military vessel wearing a goddamn cocktail dress. But the b!tching about animations that were made waaaaaaaaaay before the Kasumi DLC came out and they'd even conceived of the dress? It's silly.

Is that bad? Shared animations just look silly, and while femhawkes "walk" might not be realistic, at least its different. Applying the same animaions to models of seperate sizes and shapes just looks awkward sometimes.

I could not mod that horror off of my screen fast enough. All praise modders so LadyHawke could run slightly more like an actual person.
If you're having a problem with Shepard sitting with her legs apart while wearing a dress here's a tip: DON'T PUT HER IN A DRESS
It's a fricken DLC outfit that was never intended for regular use. Shepard is military, I don't know why anyone -wants- to put her in an evening dress for general walking around the Normandy. Let the commander wear her pants and relax without worrying about putting on a 'femininity' performance.

This.
And on another note, If I want my FemShep to wear a dress AND sit modestly, I should be able to have that.
"She's a soldier! If you don't like the way she sits, then don't put a dress on her! Deal with it!"
Those of you who think this, just remember, for 2 games, Male Shepard was strictly hedero. I don't think wanting a more feminine FemShep is asking too much.

My wife brought up a valid point on her latest playthrough of ME2 which we both hope will be addressed in ME3
She felt that her female Shephard didn't move in a feminine way. She always sat with her legs open like a guy would, and the dancing... oh boy. I know both male and female Sheps both sucked when it came to dancing...
Did anyone else notice this? Hopefully we can have a nice feminine Shephard in ME3. Also... the hair. Hopefully we can have better hair. Some longer hair would be nice.
Who's with me??!
Didn't you know that femShep isn't the true Shepard, but a cardboard cutout for those who want to play as female! The way they did it just reinforced the feeling that male Shepard is one and true Shepard.

I actually like the way fem!Shep moves. It suits. If she started walking like she was wearing heels and a dress, I'd be more than a little put off. She's not a debutant.
THAT would be dumb, but atleast have some resemblence of feminity in her animations. There is nothing WEAK about acting like a woman imo.
