I actually like the way fem!Shep moves. It suits. If she started walking like she was wearing heels and a dress, I'd be more than a little put off. She's not a debutant.

THAT would be dumb, but atleast have some resemblence of feminity in her animations. There is nothing WEAK about acting like a woman imo.

I'm a woman, so I can say from experience I tend to sit exactly like femShep. I also always wear pants, though.

I take it many people here haven't played FemShep in Mass Effect 1 then? Her walking and running animations were not girly, nor were they the same as Male Shep's animations.

^ Yeah, they were fluid and lighter than the guy's. The one thing I do like in ME2 is the change in her running; heavier and stiffer. In a way, I take this as a manisfestation of her physical injury (along the spine). Something that lingered and showed visibly. Some of her strode animations are rather strange though, I'm not sure how to describe it. They appeared in the cutscenes when she walked to Mordin to ask about a counter meansure to the seeker swarms and walking a few steps after Tali to talk about her problem. And these others, mentioned before by other ppl; her exaggerated swagger at that prison ship, hanging her head most of the time or looking at something high up (what are you looking at, Shep? Shep is a soldier and not a dancer. No matter if male or female. So however Shep walks or talks or sits or dances, it's the Shepard way to do it. I don't even know how people come up with this topic. Is there really nothing more stupid or unimportant to complain about?

Yes, please keep bringing this up until the awkwardness is addressed. If the animation is not going to be changed, then at least adjust the angle to make it more tasteful. Miranda was one exception, Femshep in the dress does not need to flash guys during a conversation. Just bringing in a close-up of Femshep's face during conversation could spare the risk of a whole debate.

Or have femShepard sit like Aria/TIM, and mShep sit like mShep/Garrus.

THIS is exactly what I was getting at with my original post. I would just like her to sit like a woman.... Even a soldier must want feel or act like a lady once in a while. Movements don't bother me as much as the sitting thing.

wait... there are people who -like- LadyHawke's ridiculous run?

I could not mod that horror off of my screen fast enough. All praise modders so LadyHawke could run slightly more like an actual person.
If you're having a problem with Shepard sitting with her legs apart while wearing a dress here's a tip: DON'T PUT HER IN A DRESS
It's a fricken DLC outfit that was never intended for regular use. Shepard is military, I don't know why anyone -wants- to put her in an evening dress for general walking around the Normandy. Let the commander wear her pants and relax without worrying about putting on a 'femininity' performance.

I got no problem with Fem-Hawke's run it's a video game it's expected BUT it should not be cited as the way a woman naturally moves.

+ Aria is a very strong (charismatic) character -- rivaling even Shepard. This could be a gender specific sitting animation -- and it would still be bad ass.

Just, for the record, this is actually why I prefer Mark Meer's voice acting actually. He holds a more ambiguous tone so you can transition between the three different types of dialogue choices pretty seamlessly (He also be angry sounding if you use renegade, leave him alone!)

Meanwhile, (don't get me wrong, I also love Jennifer Hale) Femshep is pretty just...angry. Which I suppose oculd also seem seamless since everythign she says ranges from kind-of manly and angry (paragon) to manly and angry (neutral) to VERY manly and angry (renegade). To be honest, it makes her seem more like a jerk than male shepard could be, who actually seems like a nice guy, a hero, when talking Paragon to people.

YIEKS! Good point then... Still it makes me feel like the female version is just a "cardboad cut".

Just came across this and thought I should share. Anyway it basically says, that it doesn't matter male or female, the way you live defines how you act.

4 Men are dancing and walking in the beginning:

Was playing Stealing Memory again, and it really makes you realize how bad it looks.

You are going to a party, trying to blend in. You run around like a man, and when you walk, you walk like a cowboy with your toes facing outward, and arms way out at your side like treetrunk biceps are in the way. It is seriously distracting.

The "she is a soldier" argument doesn't add up in the slightest. Soldier isn't a gender, it's a job description. Female hips sway by a law of physics, just not overly so. Also, the maleshep dance... just no.

We don't need Bayonetta or something, but ME1 did it right.

Gravedig.

The problem is that Bioware only made the motion capturing for a male, but not for a female. I hope they solve the problem in ME3.

And those fookin' prawns they keep in South Africa can do motion captures for Turians. This is a reference.

And what is the animation on this fem!Hawke? I haven't played DA2. No ulterior motives here, I promise!

Topics like this confuse me and make me wonder what happened between ME1 and ME2...

Me1 femshep had a feminine walk... can't they just import that to some degree???

I use a simple formula to decide whether my Femsheps are feminine enough.

(Heterosexuality * love of feminine women) + Desire to have sexual relations with real life versions of my Femsheps= Sufficient feminimity for me.

That being said, the above formula may be skewed due to my three femsheps being based on Tori Black, Monica Sweetheart and Tera Patrick. Yes my femsheps are pornstars. What of it?

Oh so Sharon Stone does it and she becomes a A-list actress but Femshep does it and she is demonized as being manly. DOUBLE STANDARD!!!!Image IPB

Honestly though, have you guys considered that she was making a pass at Hackett? C'mon! She pulls out the little black dress for a debriefing? I think we all know what was really going on here.

I picture you leafing through videos on YouPorn while trying to buid F!Sheps face in another window. How close was I?

Facecode please, I'm on my 4th playthrough and I decided to make binge drinking skanky Renegon fem!Shep. Just an overall terrible role model.

I've run cross-country and know women and men that run exactly like that.

Will her limp be healed by ME3? Or was that just someone completely sucking at motion capture?

She has like the derpiest walk imaginable.
