take your politics and shove it. Theres a lot to be said about doing the right thing for tthe sake of doing the right thing. And dont start with me about what is "right", that falls into your unanswerable conundrums, Im talking about practical terms. Like not killing each other just cuz u mad bro.

It's hard to say, we aren't great. We are constantly at war with owerselves, we take resources (by force if needed) and pollute the planet whilst looking for a new planet to populate. But we are now looking to help the planet by recycling, using solar panelled electric or by wind turbines, trying to prevent more poverty, animals going extinct, starvation, ect.

So we could become something more, something better, but we could just become a leeche, just sucking the life out of everything we can get ower hands on.

Let's talk about reclycling . There's something in my area called Public-sac. It's basicly just advertissing journal . They put so much of this crap at the entrance of my place. It's insane. After they blame me if i put my soda bottle in the trash .Hell you almost feel like a pariah if you don't recycle  but they keep spamming me with plastic and useless piece of crap that flood my entrance .The other day journal brat was spotted and i basicly yelled to hi mto shove it where it's smell.

I remembered when i smoked my cig 1 years ago. They would look at me like i was a frigging scumbag killing the world . While behind  you could see a frigging army of car and a industrial plant obscuring the sky with their waste floating in the air and poluating 50 kM square.

Plus to be respected with success .. You need to be a greedy ****. It's all about profit , money and greed.
People only care if you have you knee broken in a car accident. No one care  if you're happy.

I sincerely dislike, if not utmost hate humanity for what it has done. And I don't necessarily mean the self-destructive tendency we really do exert. Humanity is actively destroying its own habitat, which is as stupid as it can get. I don't longer shed a single tear if I read about some dozens or hundreds of killed humans in some incident here or there, but I wince at every single death of other animals, heck, the only reason I do not approve of idiots ramming themsevles and their cars into the woods to at least weed themselves out are those poor trees that get damaged and/or killed in that process.

I really don't like humanity as a people. But on the other hand, as a species, we are capable of so much better. The sheer potential the humans inherit, which can be used to achieve great things without destroying everything around them is unfathomable. It's just that no one seems to notice they can do things without making the very planet they live on uninhabitable.

This ambivalence is what defines my take on humanity, though I, for obvious reason, do strongly tend towards the "I hate humans" group.

This is bullcrap. I want no part of a mindset that is uncaring, apathetic or likes to hear of the death of humans, but gets butthurt when he hears of environmental damage. You don't care for your own species? Humans are more important than a few trees or animals. I don't much like humanity as a whole, but thats because i see a lot of stupid people like you.

You really don't have to get rude and throw insults when someone has a different opinion than you.

And personally, a few trees and animals are extremely important. Especially when humans have a population of what? Almost seven BILLION? Yeah, when humans have such an immense population compared to all the other species, rain forest, and natural habitats we are destroying, excuse me if I feel nothing if some people who have no connection to me die. It's a cold and jaded outlook, I'm willing to admit that, but I think preserving other species and their natural habitats is far more important than fueling the exuberant lifestyles of humans.

Heading inexorably into WWIII if we are not careful. I would say the damage was done years ago when countries like Iraq and Afghanistan gained independence, despite not being prepared for it. Too many extremists wanting to wipe Israel off the earth and Israel's heavy-handed defensive tactics (which I approve of) means it could well boil over, dragging the West and the East with it. It's why I'm hesitant to accept the so called 'Arab Spring' as a good thing. If it brings about another Iraq or Afghanistan-like mess or if someone like Ahmedinejad emerges from it, then the world is in serious trouble. Forget the argument over global warming (which I don't believe is an issue anyway); the security of the Middle East should be the world's primary concern. One solution might be for Britain to accept at least Israel into the Commonwealth.

I like to think that its just the anonymous of the internet allowing people to be real idiots (look at how people react the the femshep poll to see what I mean) but I look at whose on the election for president and I start wishing for the ability to breath in space....
I dunno maybe I'm the last person to talk about this.. god knows I'm no expert but its pretty telling when we have so many smart intelligent people and we decide who leads us based on how well they can lie to us.

I feel like these next twenty years are pretty important in what happens to us in the long run. And if we can survive into the 2100s (without entering a fallout style existence), I think we'll have some serious longevity.

How so more than any other period?

I mean, the current oil situation allows my plan to usurp control of the world's energy and have the strongest nations begging like dogs... uh nvm.

I think it depends on our power situation. i.e. the sooner we get commercially available energy coming from a fusion reactor, the better.

Humans are more important?

It is exactly that mindset that destroys this world. Tigers or other endangered and near extinct species? Screw them, that fur mantle  is more important than the survival of such unneeded species. Trees? Who needs them, all they do is obstruct our sight on the landscape if they can serve so much better when we wipe our asses of with it. Three layers, no less.
Humans are more important, pfft, now THAT is bullcrap. All the people that say as such or believe humans are not animals have delusioned themselves to a point were it borders on insanity.

If we are talking about importance, we need weight those few trees against humanity. What would happen if all of humanity died? ... Now what would happen if all trees were gone? Right, the whole ecology of this planet would change. And if the humans were gone, nothing, zip, nada. A few rotting cities that nature would claim in a few hundred years.

And were did I say I don't care for my species? To hate something you pretty much have to care for it enough to develope such feelings first. And don't get me started on stupidity if the first reaction of yours on my opinion was to call me stupid.

Now get off your high horse and think for minute before spewing such nonsense. You may not like my opinion and I have certainly not worded mine good enough, if not only for that I lack the words to express the ambivalence. But just because you don't share my take on things, don't try placing me in a light like some stupid greenpeace hermit living in a forest trying to make love to deers, only because your arrogance can't compute my view on things.

Talking about getting butthurt, ... ridiculous.

Word, ... though I still prefer not dying out ... though if I am dead and no more capable to give a f*ck anyway, I can say now that I wouldn't mind humanity to go extinct if they carry on like that. I just hope that the least things apart from humanity have to suffer.

That's like suicide. If you don't want to continue living, that is your decision, but IF you are going for it, then do it alone and not jump in front some train or the likes, giving complete innocents the shock of their lifetime and potentially ruining their lives too. That is essentially what humanity is all up to now.
