I don't know what happened but my wolf summons on my rangers got duplicated and they won't respond to being summoned back. In fact, it just summons more. I tried killing them off but they're freaking invincible. It gets really annoying having them follow me around. What do I do? Thank you for any help.
My Ranger Summons wont die or be unsummoned!

Make sure you have the most current patch installed AFTER you have fully installed every other aspect of the game as it checks for these to be present (Like it wont update Awakening or DLC unless its present)
This used to be a known rare bug.
Though being on PC it may be a mod you are using thats causing the problem. Are you using any and if so can you list them? Some have been known to cause many many bugs.

Since I beat this game around 10 times I am using mods, quite a lot. They are :

Baldurs Gate Spellpack
Black Templar Armor
class and Specialization Pack
D&D class Pack
Duncans Dark Armor
Expanded Inventory
Extra Dog Slot
Grey Warden Castle
Morrigan Restoration Patch
Ranger Revised
Unlock Specials
Wild Mage Specialization
Allow Permenant Summons (You would think it was this but I removed it from the override folder and it still persisted)
More Frequent Deathblows
and finally, Better Atmosphere.
Edit: I just uninstalled Ranger Revised. STILL nothing. Im honestly thinking about just creating a new game.

Try uninstalling Extra Dog Slot. It breaks a multitude of things at the best of times, and I especially had a lot of trouble making it play nice with my Dalish Ranger Warden.

Disable all your mods, then force lead the game. Save and then reload that save.
Did that fix it?
After that you will probably have to play trial and error there. I also suggest reviwing the readmes for a couple of thos emods because I belive BG spellpack, class and Spec pack, and ranger revised conflict with similar files.
Also Extra dog slot as stated is known to cause other error.s
