 Hey guys,

This is my first time posting on the forums, and it's not on happy terms. Like many others, it seems I'm having some serious issues with getting my downloadable content to work. I've got the Ultimate DAO edition from Steam, and that's probably part of the problem, but here's a specific description of what I can and can't do.

What I can do:

Play Awakening, Leiliana's Song, and Golems of Amgarrak. 

What I can't do: 

Play the Darkspawn Chronicles, The Stone Prisoner, or Witch Hunt (along with another in game DLC or two, I'd wager)

I've got all the content downloaded, but whenever I go to play, say, Witch Hunt, I can get all the way past the character import section, and then I have a notification come up with something like - "Could not load area."

This frustrates me to no end, as I've already spent a considerable amount of time troubleshooting and some of the DLC still won't work. I know there's a 1.05 patch for these kind of problems, but since I'm a Steam user, I'm kind of out of the loop here, unless I uninstall the game and download Origins, but I don't know the steps I'd have to take to do that, and I don't want to lose any of my save files from the Steam version either.

If anyone can help me, please, I'm begging you! I just want to play Witch Hunt. Is that so much to ask?

When you go to the downloadable content page ingame, what does it say about all the dlc??  Authorized?? installed??  Unauthorized??

While you are at it, see the read first thread also pinned to the top of this forum for posing guidelines. Did you edit your addins.xml file to not require authorization?

 i had to send my laptop in to get fixed but i had to re-install DA:O and when i did that my DLC says enabled but unauthorized and i already used the promo codes so i cant get the stuff. What do i do so i can get my DLC back. i cant

Ah...I remember I had the same issue when I got my copy.

I downloaded and install the v1.05 patch and that fixed the problem. Give that a try
