If it was intended to be homophobic then it was trolling. If it wasn't intended to be homophobic then it wouldn't be posted at all. That's the problem. The video itself is not a troll video and it's obvious taht you don't even care about the video. But you used it to troll people so you could use your homophobic argument. You clearly made this post to create yet another one in a long line of homophobic diatribes because you have an inability to avoid that which doesn't appeal to you in DA2.  Get over yourself already.

I started the arguement I didn't start by insulting anyone. I told people what this is not about and it's about the video and to enjoy. Then you got people literally quoting parts of my orginal topic except for the disclaimer and one person points out they know my intentions due to the name of the topic though its the same name for the topic title of Kotaku blog page for the video maybe if you guys took the time and started reading and looking at what I was saying instead of jumping the gun well from what I have seen now some of you guys have built up anger and don't seem on dropping this.

The whole reason for her arugement orgininally was my topic title which is Kotaku's topic title showing off a cool video they have.

I saw it but you should have worded your topic better. 

Because some people jumped the gun thats not my problem. If I didn't have a disclaimer in my orginal post which some people claim is the problem in the first place people like you would have seen the topic title and claim I didn't put enough disclaimers. Basically some people came into the topic jumped the gun and picked a fight

Your character is never forced into a gay romance, in the game, unless you put the said character on the spot by picking the heart option. If the intended purpose, of this thread, was simply to show a funny video then you could have easily just wrote that.

Getting rivalry points is not getting 'negative points'. It just means that Anders will be a rival, meaning that you don't see eye to eye on some issues with him. I think a female Hawke also get rivalry points if she turns down Hawke?

Bioware did choose to make Anders attracted to men if Hawke is a male. The thing to remember here is to not the heart option (or heart icon) if you're not interested in a romantic relationship with Anders.

What was it I started? Or better yet what should I have done differently? If I had the video and had to post it what should I have done? Should I have added in pictures what this thread was not about? No that wouldn't matter because for some words don't matter and they only provoked those who were assured there might have been some reason he posted this! Or how about the topic title? Writing stuff like "forced romances" will usually get a few responses, indeed. I think if you had left that part out, then people might have reacted differently.

Ok...let's look at it this way, shall we? Because you feel as though you are being attacked, and in expressing that, you are running the risk of doing some attacking of your own.

You posted a video link - yes.

You added a lot of disclaimers - yes.

You then made a lot of generalizations about the people who may or may not have misinterpreted your intentions for posting the link - yes.

At this point, a simple "hey - this isn't what I meant. I legitimately thought it was a funny video." would be a nice thing to see. Not saying you have to do that, just saying it would be nice. And then maybe we can start fresh, hmmm? If indeed your intentions are as you say.

Except that everyone here that has challenged you on your OP, are not stupid. If your intent was to post a funny video, I find disheartening that you went out fo your way to define your homophobia while acting like you're taking the high ground with your ensuing defensive replies. Again, may I suggest that you refrain from generalizing (bolded bit above). Because no matter your intent, no matter if you are a great individual or not, generalizing will not endear you to a lot of people. It will further any divide that has already started. Bottom line, generalizing will not mend any fences.

It's negative points if you're trying to friend him.  Which you probably are if you picked the dialogue choices which result in him hitting on you.
