I can't believe the 2nd vote actually produced a worse answer than the 1st. Blonde hair is at least arguably liked by a large population, though some may not, it's a common enough color for people to not strongly dislike.

But RED hair? Dear god, you couldn't get any more 1 sided. Red hair is one people will either like, or hate.

I liked FemShep #3's hair. I liked the blonde most of the Shepards, so naturally, I liked her hair. I liked the photoshops a few people made that made her hair look long still, but pulled back into a bun or ponytail. I saw some fan art that made like FemShep 1 more.

As long as it looks better than ME1 and 2, I'm sure I'll have a hard enough time deciding what looks best.

But seriously, I would love it if femshep had short hair like that! I know people kept complaining her hair wasn't long enough but Maker's breath She looks sexy like that... I just... It looks so soft!

I also really like this short hairstyle; she looks like a killer pixie. The ME1 and 2 short hairstyle that femshep has is  just awful. This one looks more like Cassandra's hair (from DA2) which I liked a lot.

Currently, the only style I can stand to look at throughout the whole game is the longer one that's tucked behind her ears, like #5's hair. All my femsheps look pretty much the same because of that.

I would really like an updo that, during implied rigorous activity, has had some of the hair fall down out of it. It would be out of the way, but still be some sort of feminine. She needs something to soften her face now and again.

How you expect her to wear helmets otherwise? Come now... Think how long it'll take to put helmet on when you have to take account on hair getting between helmet seals! But then again, let's not overthink it and just say: "It's a video game!"

..but that may not go well with the armor..there would probably be clipping issues.

I also like the idea of messy-hair if done right..like soft tendrils falling. Or..maybe a low, loose ponytail. I dunno. I liked 4 and 6 the best out of the new ones. I'm really hoping for those and maybe even more. :3
Also, new beards and hairs for male Shep. Guys don't usually get as many options, I've noticed. I want a fancy mustache and a monocle!

Yes, exactly!  It's a freaking video game! 

Bioware edits their character models all the time so that armor doesn't have to change to fit the character model.

Most notoriously is Marian Hawke in Dragon Age II.  Any Warrior armor she equips, completely changes the frame of her character model.  Even in ME1, you can see the effects of armor on certain parts of FemShep's body.

It wouldn't be anything new for them to program it where when you have a helmet on, the character model underneath has no hair at all.  They'll make it sound like it's something they haven't done, but they have and it's clearly noticeable.

They also got gene therapy which can do away with things like poor eye vision.  It's most assuredly one of the things that parents would want to correct before a child is born.

Lightning smiling? What kind of world is this?! Oh god, Squall has no chance of getting that now.

They need to add more hairstyles not just for FemShep's sake, but for female NPCs.

I'm pretty sure I'd throw myself off a building if I lived in a future where 95 percent of women have bobs.

The more varied hairstyles the better I say. I'm also sensing an unprecedented amount of Lightning love on these forums, and that can only be a good thing in my opinion.
