So I just bought the Firepower pack because I had some MS points chillin in my account. I pulled the Mattock out and HOLY CRAP. I think died and went to soldier heaven. Seriously, even on Insanity that thing is a 3 or 4 shot Collector kill. Damn. What an amazing gun haha.

I think that alot of the DLC weapons are overpowered.

I like the geth shotgun myself. Iam a Vanguard with the Charge ablity set to have time slow down when I come out of charge. I use the geth shotgun with slowdown charge and I never have to take cover at all.....EVER. You should try it......You feel like a bad a** never having to take cover.

Its alot of fun trying to figure out ways to kill the enemy without ever taking cover begin a vanguard on insanity. Its the only class that uses real strategy to kill the enemy, all other classes are about taking cover and power/tech combos. With the vanguard you dont need your teammates if your good at it(dont get me wrong its not an easy class at all).

Yeah, the Mattock is quite spectacular. The Phalanx HP is good as well, the only downside to it is the slow firing rate, but that thing packs a huge punch. Something you may not have noticed about the Geth Plasma Shotgun though: it has a charged shot. The GPS alone has 1.5X extra damage against shields and barrier, so it's great at stripping protection away. Hold the trigger down for about a second though, and you'll see a little flash at the end of the muzzle and the end glows a bit. Let it go, and you fire a REALLY powerful shot that uses 2 shots from the heat sink (however, if you have only one shot left in the clip, you can still get the full charge out of the shot without using another shot from the next clip... it's a nice thing I noticed one time). One charged shot can deal a massive amount of damage, even more than some of the heavy weapons.

For Insanity, good god it is hard.  With Energy Drain though you can buff your max shields CRAZY high though, use that from behind cover and then use Heavy Charge and suddenly you have over 600-700 shields, easily.

Sentinel is the most broken class for Insanity because of the tech armor, but Vanguard is the most broken class overall.  Playing on Normal like I did when I started, it's a cakewalk.

Actually you can work around the broken parts of the vanguard on insanity. Its now the best one for me. Its also the only one I use now other then the adept, everything else is not as fun. Granted....it took me a long time to come around to loving the vanguard but when I did I found that it was the one I have the most fun with.

No, I mean the Sentinel "broken" as in "absolutely bat-s**t crazy too freaking overpowered," not broken as in it needs fixing because it's terrible. It needs fixing because it's gone from the ultimate control class, to ultimate debuff, minor control, and a very heavy dose of "f*** you I'm a tank." It's the easiest class to play Insanity with because you pretty much DON'T DIE.

Vanguard is similarly broken since they have the charge/shotgun combo, you just have to be careful with what you charge on Insanity.
