See the solutions round-up thread pinned to the top of this forum. DAO has difficulty addressing more than 2 CPU cores. There are directions for setting core affinity to 1 or 2 cores in the solutions round up thread.

I have a LAN at home. on one pc i run da origins + awakening plus Da2 no problems. on my second pc i have just in stalled Da origins plus downloads no problem. all are legit copies and registered. I purchased this copy so my grandchildren can learn the game. this then leaves me free to play da2 on my main pc. The pc for origins is good enough and all drivers have been updated. the message i get when i use the repair option with the game is" log in as administrator, you don't have access rights. From this pc i have more than one bioware account, could this ba a problem? bioware will not let me delete the other account. Hope you can help.

You have a different problem. Start a seperate thread. And read the "read first" thread.

That said, this is not a problem of having more than one account (as long as you only try to be logged into one at a time per machine and each install used own CD key). There are several work arounds, but if you launch the application (the launcher or the game itself) by either right-clicking and selecting run as administrator or changing the similarly title options on the file 'properties' and then running.... you should be able to use the program as intended.

For some reason, if you install the game from an Admin user account, if you accept the default install path (e.g. via "Express Install") then the game installation is not "admin" by default. This is particularly true on machines with UAC on.
