Would you sacrifice Earth if by doing so you could stop the reapers permanently?

Or not, since they're constantly sucking it up. If anything, it's humanity's pride and their so-called "rightful place in the galaxy" BS that's stopping them from getting anything done.

I hope there's a huge penalty for any button pusher if this becomes a choice.

Example: You get pressured from all sides saying DO IT! Finally, with a long sad face, or glee depending on your human views, you obliterate the relay destroying Sol's system and countless human lives. Shortly thereafter you get a message detailing that humans have found a way to defeat the reapers and were hours from deploying it. Ooops. Guess it's the hard way now.

Good riddance. I don't want their cheap deus ex machina.

Rannoch, Freedom's Progress, Haestrom and the Alarei; all fine examples of how the quarians' pride and incompetence got the better of them. Now if only their balls, because they do seem to have those, allowed them to defy the Council and settle somewhere.

And what's wrong with our pride? Last time I checked we actually got stuff done in the galaxy. If anything, we deserve to lead - rule over, if you will - the other races.

Our pride created Cerberus, the retards of the galaxy.

And no, I wouldn't sacrifice other races to save humanity, since I don't see anything that puts humanity above them, and keep the "oh, but you belong to that race, that makes you a traitor herp a derp" BS, because that's how I see it.

A galaxy without any other races isn't worth expanding to. But if you want to show a couple of rocks who's boss, then I won't stop you.

Our pride created Cerberus, the retards of the galaxy.

Our fear mostly contributed to Cerberus, our rational fears mind you.

Our pride, however, does lead to a notable amount of the experients going awry, although even then it could be argued that a large part of them are necessary in some way.

Cerberus isn't the be all, end all of humanity. It's one megalomaniacs part in a grander scheme of things.

Our drive and desire to exist puts at least on equal terms with any of the other races. And unlike some species, we won't suffer ourselves to has been status and pine over the past. Plus somewhere along the way we'll most likely end up fixing their inane problems they can't seem to figure out on their own. Would I sacrifice them before my kind? Every. Single. Time.

If the Quarians can survive with less than 1% of their original population while limiting their breeding, so can humanity.

Arrogance born of ignorance. We're not quarians. We're not so technologically advanced that we can create AIs on accident if we don't watch ourselves. We don't have live ships. We don't have the amount of ships that can carry our population. And we won't be given any time or resources to build any. And we don't have the kind of tech that literally enables them to constantly sustain their non-viable lives.

Besides, I cannot imagine a worst existence than what quarians have. Maybe they're so enhanced with stim tech that they can survive in their suits and not go insane. Maybe they're so alien that they can socialize without seeing each other faces for their entire lives and not commit suicide. Maybe their machine-like psychology enables them to endure a life where you have to risk death each time you want to have sex. I sure don't wish it on humanity.

The quarians were at the apex of their glory when the disaster struck, and they were thrown at the brink of survival. But they had a lot of power to begin with, and although they lost a lot of ground when they were devastated, they had ground to retreat. Humanity doesn't have such reserve. We aren't advanced. We're barely newborns. We can't afford any losses.

There's a lot more lives than just human on Earth and human seems to be the only earthern species found elsewhere...the other trillions of lives don't count?....<_<

Will earth survive if the Reapers cant be stopped? Is there another way to defeat the Reapers before they are done harvesting earth? If both answers are nay, then there isnt really a choice is there? And I wouldnt call it a sacrifice either, tis more like dragging those Reapers to hell together will all off humanity and I get to pull the trigger. XD

I say it again: In crisis, the needs of the many outweight the needs of a few.

Last I checked, Earth is already in the process of being destroyed. And it also seems like Shepard has to retreat at some point. So in a way, that choice was made for us? I don't know, I certainly didn't like blowing up 300k Batarians, so why would I want to sacrifice earth when the entire purpose of these games was to help humanity somehow? Maybe I agree with that speculation that Humanity is already doomed to Reapers, but hey might as well die trying. So no, no sacrificing. Besides, if the galaxy really doesn't care for humanity, then why don't they fix the "Reaper" problem themselves? Just sayin'...

It would kill me, but I'd sacrifice Earth if it meant saving the rest of the galaxy, plus there would still be humans in the galaxy so I wouldn't be dooming my race to extinction.

I would sacrifice earth if it's the best available option! Sometimes you can't save everyone, some situations require you to pick between bad and worse.

I would not sacrifice Earth. No way. I don't care if it would be considered a selflish, human centric, or foolish action. Earth stays.

Yeah, the Reapers arent known for destroying planets, so earth will stay regardless. The question is, which will be the dominant species when the Reapers are done harvesting earth.

I will stop the Reapers no matter what the cost.  Failure to do so results in the deaths of everyone.
