I don't get why you care for time and health of 3D modellers that much. Should't any gamer actually demand more, than less?

What's the point in making unrealistic demands? I know that they are not going to magically pull money out of their asses to make this happen. I know they would have to pull money out of things I care way more about than companion armors to make this happen, so I don't advocate for it, because it would be overall detrimental to me in a world where time and money are not infinite. If you must have every argument motivated solely by selfish desires, there you go.

I haven't contradicted myself at all here. I've never denied that this kind of system was technically possible. I clearly explained what I think and you have ignored the words I am saying in favor of gesticulating wildly and insulting me.

You’re all over the place lad but I havent the will to search your recent posts for the myriad quotes that contradict that blatant lie. In any case, I’ll just say again that it really does take a very special kind of....erm....superfan to make the case for less added value on behalf of their favourite developer. Well done you and goodnight. Give us a B....

Do you have the means to prove that Bioware is on the road to bankruptcy then?

I can do cookies

Hopefully in your journeys you will actually read my posts this time.

What? The DA team has a budget. They don't get to go over that budget. If they want to spend more of that budget in one area, they have to spend less of that budget on another area.

Can you prove that they have an infinite budget? Because I can prove that they have *a* budget, and that they would have had to cut things in the past in order to do other things. Like this one:

Oh, I
also don't see why Fenris would be standing next to the fireplace fully
dressed in his armor after having sex. He should've at least been
shirtless.  :-)

I wanted that, too.

The artists looked at me with their sad eyes. "Do you really want us to create an entirely new torso with all those tattoos just for that one scene?"

"That's a stupid question. Of course I do."

"Sigh. Okay, what do you want to cut, then?"

"Oh, bother."

So
that's how that conversation went. I guess Fenris dresses really
quickly. Maybe he was thinking he would be stabbed? Not an unrealistic
expectation.

Anyhow, glad you enjoyed the romance. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/smile.png[/smilie]

an you prove that they have an infinite budget?

Can you prove that DA3's budget would't be higher than DA2's budget?

We can go with it all night, you see. I already said (edited my post to late, sry for that, ipgd ) - if all companions would be "iconic", but they would have planescapish dialogue branches, that's fine. But we did't have examples for changes to the better like that, yet, in other Bioware games.

It's a Thing. Collarbones are my measure of a bad figure in pretty much every area of art. Their butchery bothers me in a very personal way.

Ahh, kk. Even more curious now though, is it the placement or there's something more to them that's so bothersome? Posted Image

(don't have the thing about them so they look ok to me otherwise; pronounced maybe, but that's not too hard to find in random people)

The devs have assured us on multiple occasions that they do plan to go into greater depth with and expand on companion dialogue in future products, so... we* win?

A funny tidbit somewhat related to it -- one of these sad eyed artists would then go and prepare entirely new outfit for Hawke's mother also just for one scene. On his/her own, not even asked, in their free time.

Well, they're incredibly flat, shapeless and way too deep (they'd be at, like, her third rib), giving the impression that her neck column is floating unattached on top of her trapezius instead of actually, um, being where it's supposed to be.

The clavicle is a really deceptively complex bone, and even when you're viewing it from the front it's fairly obvious when an artist doesn't actually know how they are shaped and is bull****ting it based on a symbolic simplification instead of an actual understanding of the geometry of the bone.

While its contours are subtle you really can't just throw in a straight dark line somewhere below the neck and call it a day.

Thanks for explanation Posted Image  It makes sense, but guess since i don't have the thing about them i'm used more to envisioning them similar to this:

so that makes it easier for me to ignore when they get simplified into a line like in that screenshot. But can see where you're coming from.

I'm just hoping Bioware has enough in it's budget to make truly iconic collarbones and clavicles and won't have to cut elsewhere.

I think they will resolve this problem increasing breasts to the point where that controversial area becomes all covered up.

I think having a companion with an iconic appearance is a good thing.

Having Morrigan in a dork hat and nun robes rather than her iconic sideboob appearance broke the immersion for me. The nun look is more appropriate for Wynne.

Having Oghren and Zevran trade combat "outfits" would also be disconcerting.

Well, actually, she was tanned. The lighting in the room just made her...paler. If you look at her model, you can see her better.

Even in DAO, if you moved Morrigan up next to Isabela, you could tell how deeply tanned Izzy was.

Somebody needs to put foot to head on that artist.  Cap is not a roid junkie body builder....

As far as the thread is concerned... I dont care either way as long as DA3 is up to the snuff of other BW games. I can go either way but yes being a proud BDF member (often called apologist or fanboy because I dont succumb to the sensationlism and melodrama that perminates these forums) its all about the exucation for me.
DA2 to was lacking in that aspect. I still enjoyed it but it was not to the polish I am used to from BIoWare.

I am also on the side that I prefer more stat customazation then the visual apperance. For me it is how I can make my characters and not what they wear.

That point flew above my head apparently. Probably is in space as we speak.
