Hey guys...kinda new on the boards and i've got a question for all the people planning on picking this up for consoles.

which console do you plan on getting it for? i mean now that all versions are releaasing simultaneously in the states and if you have to get a console version like me, then which? I am personally torn between the two because i own both ps3 and 360 but i've heard that the ps3 version might contain higher res. textures than the 360 version. anyone know if this is true? or if there might be any other differences between the two versions?

sorry if this has been asked...i did a search beforehand and the search came up with results that i couldnt find anything related to my question in. feel free to point me to a thread that may have covered this in the past, thanks!

Honestly it comes down to personal preference. If there is a difference it's not noticable judging from gamplay footage.

There's no difference. Get whichever one you like to play on more.

Well I tend to get multi platform games for my PS3, as my 360 has betrayed me with the RRoD in the past.

I'm getting it for 360 just because thats the one I tend to use the most. I do get some games for ps3 but those tend to be exclusives. Honestly I think its just preference. Now that its coming out for the ps3 at the same time I think we'll see more ps3 version sales of the game.

PS3. I feel safer with it as the PS3 has never crashed on me (I've gotten that lovely red ring on my 360) and everything just feels easier there. In the past, like with Oblivion, I've preferred the PS3 version of graphics.

But if only my computer could handle the PC version. :C

Technically I think you're safe either way b/w the 360 and PS3. Personally my old hands don't like playing games for 140+ hours on the PC (plus the full work week), so I'll be going with a console. Between the two I like the Platinum trophy system on the PS3, and I like how much quieter it is (and I think I'll own it longer than I will the 360), so I'm going with PS3 now that a delayed release isn't a problem.

I vote both will be identical but I'm going with the PS3 because I enjoy it more than my 360 or pc. Get whichever system you prefer playing.

I'm getting it on the 360. My PC could probably run it, but I'm not about to risk it! Plus, I like the 360. :)

I'm getting it on the PC, but if I was to buy a console version, it would be PS3. I'd be too afraid of my 360 overheating (or otherwise exploding) by playing many hours in a row.

I would have to pick the Xbox 360. Mostly because even though i have both and the PS3 is not as loud. I just tend to notice people on multi platform games say how There are issues with PS3 versions like Assasins creed and a few other titles. Also because i just enjoy the controlls on it more.

My general rule of thumb is that singleplayer games (especially story-heavy singleplayer games) belong on the PS3, while heavy multiplayer games do better for me on my 360.

I've had to replace my 360 six times, and another two 360's in the past as well, so I know all about hardware failure.

PS3 All day every day! It's been years since I've tried to keep up with the PC arms race...

IMO get it for the PC for superior graphics, controls, on-screen enemy count, and camera.

Craig makes a good point as long as the OP's PC can handle it.

Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer it for the PC too, but the OP was very specific to picking it up for a console.
