Is there a list of the top rated or largest persistant worlds to join?

I'd start by saying what you are looking for, role play where you're happiest sitting around a campfire? Just hack and slash? PvP?

This really does depend on what you're looking for.  If you're just looking for a lot of players, you can fire up NWN2 and look in the gamespy listings, sorting by number of players for the game type that most interests you.

There's a niche Persistent World for just about everyone.  Hack and slash worlds, Action-Roleplaying worlds (which are sorta of hack and slash but with enforced roleplaying), "Social" worlds for...err..."socializing", and hardcore roleplaying worlds like our own Duranin (in my sig).

Then there's worlds with high level caps, worlds with fast leveling, slow leveling, worlds with permanent death, worlds without...

My advice is to browse the vault, and not worry so much about population as what's the best fit for you as a player:

You could see online status the most populated NWN2 servers on Czech fan website. Although the website is in Czech language, I think you will understand the graph with statistics.

Cool. It doesn't list all of the servers though. And it does seem to include some emprty servers.
