What OP speaks is truth. Of course, it would never happen, because Canada and US (and some parts of UO, I guess) have contrary opinion on the matter. And, yeah, game does't force you into anything (though I was't comfortable talking to Zevran (but he was overall a cool and nice bro), and even more, Anders). So cutting the game for that stuff only just as wrong as cutting children from Fallout 2.
A would grab troll's flag for a momet, though, if you please.
While many people here are really intelligent and creative with their posts and I enjoy reading them, and you guys are cool, there is an irony at how western citizens take minorites which cant handle other minorites. For them, we seem like a minority. Afterall, we don't live side to side, right? And in your world, you have your opinion of how soicety should develop. Thing is, some of you see that development as absolute. Yes, you have "that" thing with minorites which you think is right..
..but guys, really, dissmissing the opinion of a really large group of people just because their society developed completely different from yours and bashing them for that, and calling them children.. is't that a hypocrisy on it's own?
Oh, and about "growing up". Our capital is like what, about 3 or 4 times older than USA on it's own?

And how about, say, spiders? Or heights? I've seen a lot of topics where arachnofobes ask Bioware to remove those large creeps from their games, and it seemed like people had mixed opinions on that, unlike this topic. But really, if you dig deeper into issue, people here disregard homophobes (unlike other kind of phobias) and bash them, because, overall, their society crossed the line (did't "grow") on the opinion of how to treat that matter. It's completely fine for you, and you think to be completely right, because most of western citizens came to kind of consensus on the matter of gay people.

The spiders weren't optional - homosexual content in ME 3 is, And that's just the point people aren't protesting because the game forces them to be gay because they know that isn't the case, No they are protesting the fact that the option exists and that IS childish.

Like they somehow gets dirty hands just by having the content on the disc... well i got news to you, YOU cant catch the gaybug by playing games your masculinity is quite safe.

Growing up as in "Stop getting upset about features in a game" not "your national capital needs to be older".

More seriously, I'm from the southern USA. In my area, the people with the more conservative views on the matter are the ones that can shout the loudest. And while I can't speak for the number of homosexuals I've met, I can certainly say that I've met very few that are willing to admit it

As far as I can figure, the reason why you hear about the topic so often from us is because we haven't handled the issue. It's very controversial over here. If we all agreed that homosexuality was okay, there'd be no real reason to bring it up.

I agree. Not because it's optional, though, I agree because games are kind of pieces of art themselves, and noone would cut penis from ancient statue because they live in a country that is mostly populated by orthodoxians.

That was *not* my point. And making doubt of gay people existence anywhere was't either. My point was that when you instantly bully a lot of people because you grown up with diffirent values and principles on the base that they are absolute, using someting like "freedom" or "new age" as a base for that, you do wrong to these people, just like those people may do wrong to minorites they are not tolerant to. Your tolerancy turns into zealosy that way.
