The Daily Fenris Appreciation Thread

Love will get you somewhere. Hopefully, Fenris will love me back. And, while I would try my best to convince Knight-Commander Meredith to not invoke the Rite of Annulment ... and failing that, try my best to convince Knight-Captain Cullen that his commander is about to make an error of historic proportion. But I would have seen lots of my brothers-and-sisters-in-magic fall to demons and become Abominations. Thus, I still wouldn't side with the mages ....

On that note... I'm a little creeped out as well, but I read this thread and I make this face

And i'm like the Fenris fan poster child! Seriously though, it's a bit creepy.... *shifty eyes* *runs away to the official Fenris thread*

But I say what I say out of love. (YES, FOR A FICTIONAL CHARACTER IN A VIDEO GAME.) Would you not do the same for the ones you love (IRL)? Love makes fools out of all of us. (Yeah, I pretty much can see Fenris rolling his eyes at me as well.)
Oh, and by the way ... I may be "creepers" and obsessive. But I wouldn't ever be a stalker. Fenris must love me of his own free will. I wouldn't ever try to force him to do so. If he doesn't, I *tear* must accept it, and let him be free.

As you clearly want some attention I'll try to adress you some:N7 Leto wrote...
Okay, okay ... I admit. Even I agree my behavior is rather "creepers" and obsessive.

Love is a emotion you feel towards something or someone, a fan can love a character - may that be fictional as well as a real person - But will never get beyond worship as that takes two individuals to exchange emotions.
Some people who meet their idol will be disappointed, some will be releived, but either way it will never be the same as blind fandomism. Now they or it is human and not a ideal, aka a god to you.
I can't see why anyone but yourself should feel that you are creepy for loving Fenris as a character, but clearly you want someone to recognize your feelins and confirm them as valid.
You are the only one that decides what to like and dislike, only when you put others in harms way directly you should reconcider your approach whatever that may be.
This will probably not happen in your case as Fenris doesn't exist beyond the picture across your screen.

I have enough attention on me IRL as it is. I did not post in this thread to seek attention and approval.
I posted everything solely as my own personal tribute to a good elf who has undergone brutal suffering and exploitation and yet has not fallen to the dark side (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, ANAKIN SKYWALKER.). It is because Fenris has not become a merciless and ruthless serial killer slaughtering innocents out of a lust and burning desire for vengeance that I (and my Hawke) love him.
(True, Fenris shows a dark side multiple times during the game. But I would have chosen the renegade route as well at the points he did. Slavers and those who would treat other people as property can NOT be allowed to live. I''m sure many people will vehemently disagree with my next statement, but IMHO terrorists like Anders are only slightly better, as terrorists at least see their enemies as people. Having a dark side and falling to the dark side are two different things.)
In fact, just today, CNN reported on several slavers IRL that the police just captured in the UK. If I were part of the team that captured them, I don't know if I could withstrain myself from "accidentally" discharging my weapon right in their faces. They obviously see those they enslaved as nothing more than property, so why should I treat them any differently? It would be just like shooting my bullet into a desk or chair.
I have mercy, empathy, and compassion for almost everyone. Blood mages, terrorists (freedom fighters?), the enemy, etc. But not for slavers. Not for anybody who views other people as property. They should be shot dead as soon as it is confirmed that they are slavers.
But, I will say this. I wish there was an option in the game to let my Hawke kill those Fenris wants killed, instead of having him kill them. Because my Hawke(s?) have no problem with stone-cold killing. I don't want Fenris to encourage and indulge his dark side any more than absolutely necessary.

Fenris, let me be your light in the darkness. Trust me to lead you to safe harbor.

Indeed, Anders is better than the templars.Slavers and those who would treat other people as property can NOT be allowed to live. Presumably because you aren't them. That's my policy on the matter, anyway. They obviously see those they enslaved as nothing more than property, so why should I treat them any differently? It would be just like shooting my bullet into a desk or chair.
Do you spare Varania, then? But, I will say this. I wish there was an option in the game to let my Hawke kill those Fenris wants killed, instead of having him kill them. I care for you too, beautiful Fenris.
And:
Fenris, I want you to love me. I need you to love me. But I can't and won't ever force you to. Please don't go.
Fenris, seeing you smile makes my day. Every day.
