For me it is probably getting bit by a rattlesnake when I was a kid.

Either that or it was when I was 17 and I went over a speed bump spilling my coffee nearly burning my balls off.

My kneecap poped out of place once. The chair sitting next to me didn't stand a chance when I plowed into it.

Neither did the person sitting in it.

No idea what you're talking about, but thanks for going off topic.

Calm down, man. Happens ALL the time. As for me, probably...I don't know, probably when I fell and a Hot Wheel hit my head when I was a kid.

I just don't get injured. Even when snowboarding or skiing.

Well, I also rarely get injured..

But the worst injury I've had is when I got one of my fingers mashed in a car door. Ouch..

Severely sprained wrist. Fell from a fence I was climbing over, landed on ice palm first, wrist and hand bent back and collapsed under me. Tore a bunch of ligaments and tendons.

You're probably wondering, how is that bad, it wasn't broken right? Well, I'm an avid guitar player. And that meant no guitar for weeks while waiting for my wrist to heal properly.

I've been lucky, no broken bones or major injuries despite engaging in plenty of risky stuff. My boat capsized in a turbulent river, encountered a black bear and her cubs while hiking, almost rappelled off the end of my rope once when I was climbing - all of which could have been the end of me.

Broke my wrist pretty badly when I was back in 3rd grade. We're talking two places plus further up my arm. So 3 fractures. Yeah, worst pain I've ever felt, easily.

A friend of mine who's a guitar player has kind-of come down with Mono--at least that's what the docters say it is, and his hands are all tingly, so he can't really feel to play. Says its awful.

Torn ACL. What do you expect when you still play football.

I broke my hand once. Accidentally knocked the support out of a broken window and had it slam down right on it.

I've been shocking lucky on this front, though, especially given I played football for approximately 12 years (and did technical theatre in high school - there are some stories I can tell with that one). This one girl I've known since preschool seemed to break her leg or foot or something damned near every year.

I suppose I had it quite easy really.
The worst one was when I was a kid I was playing Football(Soccer for all you Americans, Canadians, Aussies and Kiwis) or to be more specific Shootouts. He was the goalie and I was taking the shots. In my foolishness, I tried to do a ball juggle trick(where you bounce the ball repeatedly off the top of your foot). But when I rolled it on the floor to get it onto my foot, I slipped and ended up falling backwards and smashing my right wrist against the concrete of our driveway. I screamed for at least a few minutes, it was one of the most agonizing things I've ever felt. Later when I got some X-rays done, it turned out it wasn't broken but the bone was bent out of place at a weird angle. I had to get a caste and all that and I had to get it operated on to to put it back in the right place. That was the only medical operation I've had in my life so far, thankfully and I really dreaded it(I remember I actually cried, not because I was scared but because I was relieved, post-op when they revived me from the anesthetic and my Mum came to see me).
The other serious accident I had was when I foolishly and accidentally cut my thumb on a tin can lid(it was a can of Spaghetti and Meatballs in case you were wondering). That was probably the worst cut I ever had, it was quite deep and I lost quite a bit of blood but in my stubborness(and possibly a fear of needles) I refused to get stitches. Thankfully it healed in about a day or two and I didn't die or passout;)

Yeah I train a couple clients who have torn ACL's.  They're practically crippled, it's pathetic.  They should be in physical therapy first before beginning an athletic conditioning program.

I also flipped a dirtbike into a river bed and landed face first on a bunch of rocks with the bike on top of me. Lucklily I had a full face helmet on, but I got quite a few nasty bruises and the engine burned my leg and part of my butt where I got all tangled up with the bike and couldn't get out from under it. That was nothing compared to being unable to play guitar for weeks though.

Well I still have my old bionic knee (knee brace) that I have to still wear during practice. I hate it with passion.

You didn't fight back?  You've disgraced yourself.  In such a conflict I would sooner die than flee like a coward.

I broke my arm in elementary school. Didn't really hurt; I was more in shock than anything. And two years ago, I messed up severely when skateboarding and ended up basically skinning my knee. Now that hurt excruciatingly. There was a ton of blood. Urine, too.

"That'll teach you not to skate without kneepads, big sis!" I still haven't learnt that lesson, though.

I'm an injury prone child.
Hmmm ... I would say the fractured femur, although I was in hospital on morphine for many many weeks so there wasn't a great lot of pain just a constant dull ache and then the 24 weeks of intensive physio made me go slightly insane.

But I've broken 6 ribs before and I was in AGONY for weeks. Could barely breathe without being in tears.

I also had an open fracture on my collar bone ... that really really wasn't nice. But once that was operated on, there wasn't to much trouble.

Being only 17 ... my parents truly do love the amount of time I have spent at A&E with them :')

I did alot of damage to myself playing football(soccer to americans) concussion was ridiculously painful. I shattered a bone in my foot and actually heard the bone snapping it was a wet snapping noise. I tore my groin muscle and assumed I'd torn my shorts as it felt like cloth tearing and I'd already been playing for months with a pulled groin. None of these actually caused me to leave the game injured I just played on.

I currently have a ruptured disk in my back thats pressing into my nerves and its worse than the other three injuries combined. I finished the games with the other injuries, hell I played on for months with the broken foot but I can't even stand long enough to shave some days with this. Had injections in my spine 2 weeks ago that have left me in a weird limbo, I can run 12 miles on the cross trainer but I can't walk 2 miles to the shop.
