Tell that to the late Lazarus research team. ME is full of inconsistencies and plot holes.

Being revived in a sci-fi story is a plot hole now?

It is when the first game tried to be as realistic as possible and explain EVERYTHING and when the sequel rolls around, they go full on Star Wars.

The geth think using logic. If they do not need something they will not bother with it. Come up with a logical reason for geth to harm humanity. Their justification for hurting us is logical. In a way we can trust the geth more than any organic. An organic like the qurians can endanger everyone over an emotional conflict. Geth do not present this scenario.

I didn't just mean humanity, i ment organic life in general.

That doesn't even begin to make sense.  Overlord is an official DLC.  Those events are part of the story.

Even if it directly goes against the established facts about the geth, and just pulls the "math makes this guy a vocal genius too" horse**** right out of its ass in order to make up some excuses to do some lame platform jumps with the Paperhead?

Yeah, no.

You talk like he's different from the Geth. He has been separated from the rest of his kind for some time, but he speaks like what he says is what all "true" Geth believe. That or he's a compelling liar. Can AI lie? Probably, I don't know.

There are two instances in uncharted worlds in ME1 where the Geth used false distress calls to try to trap Shepard, so yeah they can.

I just love when people claim that a game which revolves around a mysterious element that lowers or raises an object's mass in a physically impossible way while letting spaceships use it to travel across the galaxy in a matter of seconds without colliding with anything on the way towards its destination, is "realistic".

WRONG!.... he is not seperated from his Geth.... you let the firewalls down on the Normandy a multitude of times so that Legion can access the central Geth mainframe.

Once for the Weapon Upgrade... Once for information stored about the Morning War... I believe Legion is allowed through the firewalls for the data he gets from Tali

You moron, any Geth unit that is separated from the larger "mainframe" like the"sleeping" ones in Legion's loyalty mission, is separated from the greater Geth community. That's how the heretics formed, as being too separated from the greater Geth presence made them go down a different path and create they're own points of view on how to carry out they're goals. The reason EDI pulls down the firewalls is to allow Legion to use the Normandy to call the Geth, a high risk if they wanted to input a virus or hack the ship.

Man I'm a nerd.

Yep, Legion's geth are harmless, these same Geth were also harmless when most of the Quarians were butchered by them, children and non-combatents (after all im sure the Quarian military doesn't even reach 50% of their total population),

Though you would be right if Bioware decided to make a retcon, that it was really a mass suicide that caused the death of so many Quarians, not the Geth...since you know...there harmless....they won't even hurt a fly:P

Let me put it to you this way...

If all I did was ask you, "Master does this unit have a soul?" and you attacked me for that... you better believe Quarian heads are gonna roll out of my fear and instictual feelings of self-preservation...

Next time the Quarians should create AI like EDI if they cant sttle for an Omni-Tool... the entire galaxy is using them but nooooooooo the Quarians had to create a slave labor race.... that can self evolve too

What part of that sounded like a good idea?!

You really think the Geth would mess with Shepard after he kills the Reapers?

Geth Collective: Shepard, we are here to kill you. Betrayal!

Shepard: *points up at the sky* See those raining pieces of metal? Those are the Reapers. Those are your GODS. I just tore them apart. Do you REALLY want to ****** me off after I just did that?

Geth Collective: ...........no sir.

Oh c'mon, don't be that harsh. I know it's impossible, but at least trying to explain it with dialog/codex makes it kinda of a realistic experience when roleplaying or simply getting into it.

Good job... hostile words. ANYWAY.... I would like to bring to your attention that Legion is a UNIQUE Geth platform. One of its kind. One that can freely travese "organic" space. HE IS ADVANCED ENOUGH NOT TO BE LIMITED LIKE OTHER GETH MOBILE PLATFORMS.

And my intelligence is called into question..... HA! Posted Image

I myself got the feeling he just liked having complete and total unrestrained control to experiment. I hate that of Cerberus (the only thing I hate, and TIM, I hate him too). But he seemed really scared of TIM at the end of the DLC.

You gonna report me because I called you a moron? Wow dude, lighten up. Frail ego over here.

EDIT: The only thing that makes Legion "unique" is the fact that he is a PROTOTYPE, as in more are under way. The only thing he can do that other Geth can't is operate individually as he has thousands of Geth programs instead of a few as common geth.

Why would the geth waste resources to make more platforms like Legion? So they can spy on organics more efficiently?

Listen we just had a huge powow over forum rules today... and the Moderators won.... a few peeps got banned... so dont push your luck we dont need people starting drama up again. Follow the blasted rules okay!

Geth can not opperate as ably as Legion can without being networked... Legion can not access data while the firewalls are up... but once they are down he can communicate with his Geth collective... Are you trying to imply that the entire time he was looking for Shepard he not once was able to contact his mainframe? Are you serious!?

You're the one dismissing an entire DLC to support your anti-Cerberus crusade, dear. I don't think I'm the one rejecting established facts for anything.

though I did laugh at the irony.

Perhaps, all that's certain is that the entity (or conscience) that later took upon itself the name of Legion was born on Eden Prime, after being shot by what I assume was Jacob Taylor.

I'll play nice.

You and I are on the same level but are fighting? wut. I never implied he never contacted them. I agree, he must have contacted them regurarily, which is why he talks so ably for the greater Geth, as he has been disconnected to them for only a short time whie onboard the Normandy.
