Don't be playa hatin against Cerberus' success.

That wasn't Cerberus' "success".

That was a rogue agent.

The honorable Dr. Gavin Archer wasn't a "rogue agent". He was/is fully commited to TIM and the Cerberus cause.

I myself got the feeling he just liked having complete and total unrestrained control to experiment. I hate that of Cerberus (the only thing I hate, and TIM, I hate him too). But he seemed really scared of TIM at the end of the DLC.

Nah, Gavin just cracked under pressure and was desperate to show TIM results before he would shut down the project.

Why would the geth waste resources to make more platforms like Legion? So they can spy on organics more efficiently?

Perhaps, all that's certain is that the entity (or conscience) that later took upon itself the name of Legion was born on Eden Prime, after being shot by what I assume was Jacob Taylor.

Would'nt he mention that? Or is that why Jacob was so ready to toss him out the airlock?

Listen we just had a huge powow over forum rules today... and the Moderators won.... a few peeps got banned... so dont push your luck we dont need people starting drama up again. Follow the blasted rules okay!

Geth can not opperate as ably as Legion can without being networked... Legion can not access data while the firewalls are up... but once they are down he can communicate with his Geth collective... Are you trying to imply that the entire time he was looking for Shepard he not once was able to contact his mainframe? Are you serious!?

I'll play nice.

You and I are on the same level but are fighting? wut. I never implied he never contacted them. I agree, he must have contacted them regurarily, which is why he talks so ably for the greater Geth, as he has been disconnected to them for only a short time whie onboard the Normandy.

So what are we arguing about?

You're the one dismissing an entire DLC to support your anti-Cerberus crusade, dear. I don't think I'm the one rejecting established facts for anything.

though I did laugh at the irony.

Yeah, because I can actually think for myself and know when the game is contradicting itself.

But go ahead with your fascist Cerberus propaganda. I'm sure the rest of the galaxy will kindly bow down to a dictator TIM.

Nah, I'll kill TIM and take over Cerberus myself. Then everyone will bow down to the guy who kills Reapers. Bwahahaha!

The game contradicts itself plenty of times, the most recent interpretation is usually the "canon" one. You can argue as much as you want, Project: Overlord was canon and Cerberus achieved the ability to control the Geth. You can argue it's not right or whatever other thing you usually use, the fact is:

Geth can be controlled by Project Overlord.

Irrelevant. You're simply trying to bring this up to divert attention away as you always do.

Okay one sec..... you said....

ThePwener wrote...

You talk like he's different from the Geth. He has been separated from the rest of his kind for some time, but he speaks like what he says is what all "true" Geth believe. That or he's a compelling liar. Can AI lie? Probably, I don't know.

To me you are implying that his physical separation from the Geth means he is not aware that "his" Geth all of a sudden decided to become hostile again.

I Immediately said you were wrong because he does not function like a typical Geth platform where he needs to be in close proximity to a Hub, a Mainframe, or even other Geth Mobile platforms.

Yes AI can lie. EDI told Joker she like the sight of humans on their knees... Jokes are apparently lies... Posted Image

Which reminds me... why can EDI joke and do stuff that makes her seem so much more advanced than the Geth.... but she is not hostile or weird... almost like as if she has a sense of temparance. Do you think she is more advanced than Geth or less advanced?

Perhaps he unconsciously remembered that geth, or perhaps he simply didn't trust them.

LOL but why? Why use Cerberus as your empire? TIM soiled the name of Cerberus....

see me I want to keep Liara as the SB and that way I can use those resources and be an intergalactic Robin Hood... doing good of my own accord.... basically keeping the governments and organizations out of this to watch my own fanny...

No I meant Legion mentioning it...

Legion: "Shepard just so you know that mofo you have in the Armory is the same guy that put this hole in us."

To me, the Geth are probably the coolest and most compelling aspect of Mass Effect. They are so mysterious, but we keep trying to predict what they are about or capable of just based on things we have witnessed. They are THE wild card in ME3. How they react/adjust to the invasion and subsequent war is gonna be huge IMHO.

Because Legion as he currently is didn't come to be until after he was shot and subsequently rebooted.

If that theory were true, I'd enjoy the banter between Ashley / Jacob and Legion.

Oh, so it's suddenly okay when the game contradicts itself just because it fits you? That's good to know.

Also, I find it very laughable that you think that just because that lame excuse of a plot device can control a few geth inside a base, it can control every single geth in the galaxy.

Well, except Legion, who is conveniently immune to its effects. What's stopping the other geth from isolating themselves just like he's doing since they now know of Overlord? Oh. Right. Nothing at all.

Yeah, that weapon is so good. Completely worth the lives that were sacrificed.

When you make a large enough universe and lore. It's bound to have plotholes and things that don't match up.

Tell that to the late Lazarus research team. ME is full of inconsistencies and plot holes.

Being revived in a sci-fi story is a plot hole now?

It is when the first game tried to be as realistic as possible and explain EVERYTHING and when the sequel rolls around, they go full on Star Wars.

And people wonder why I hate the second game so much.

No, I'm stating the writers use the latest information as canon. Though you can be a hypocrite and pretend you didn't use the contradiction for your own agenda.

Also, I find it very laughable that you think that just because that lame excuse of a plot device can control a few geth inside a base, it can control every single geth in the galaxy.

Considering how Project Overlord functions? It should.

Oh wait, you "dismiss" how it works and it's not canon and the Overlord DLC never happened. Never mind.

Well, except Legion, who is conveniently immune to its effects. What's stopping the other geth from isolating themselves just like he's doing since they now know of Overlord? Oh. Right. Nothing at all.

Which is explained in the DLC itself, though I doubt you'd play it because then you'd have to pretend you're working with TIM and I'm sure that hurts your head canon where TIM is trying to kill Shepard every second and that your Shepard never joined up with Cerberus.

Seriously you must be mentally demented.

But forget that part and add hypocrite there - how many times I've seen you pull the cannon card and now when it doesn't suit you it's all crap and retcons.

Unfortunately for the other guys, I've found that arguing with you is absolutely pointless and should be done only for the sake of arguing for entertainment.

Ontopic:

At any rate I distrust all equally, not just the Geth. But the Reaper war will cull the weak and unfit  and allow the strong to prosper.

Sorry. That never happened. I was simply cleaning up their mess while laughing at them.

Just like I did all the other times Cerberus completely fails at trying to do something right without getting people killed.

Say, didn't Anderson say that the geth aren't much of a threat anymore? Combine that with Legion's loyalty mission, and Overlord is utterly useless besides trying to give Cerberus an army. Which I wouldn't allow, anyway, considering that they can't even board a dead Reaper or a completely empty Collector base without getting themselves killed and risk the safety of everyone around them.

Cerberus is just a liability at this point.

Glad you aren't wasting your time then. It gets boring after awhile, you can't argue much when he warps his own anti-Cerberus reality.

Sorry for the off-topic.
